Hey there! I'm hoping some of you experienced twin Mamas may have the answer I'm looking for!

We have a chicco key-fit infant car seat from my first daughter and now we will need to purchase one more infant car seat plus a double snap n go. Do you ladies recommend Graco or Baby Trend? And I've read reviews saying that the chicco car seats don't really fit well? Have any of you used a chicco car seat with a double snap n go?

Also, do you think a snap n go is worth it? Or should I just get a nice double stroller?

Thanks for all of your help!

The snap n go is all I used the first 6 months very convenient but I don't think I go alot of use out of it. I switched to my duoglider at about 6 months Oh, and I had Graco carseats so I don't know about Chicco.

Get one of the Snap and Go's I don't know which one fits your carseats...but you have to have one of those! We are about to outgrow ours and have started using our heavy double stroller, and man oh man I am missing our Snap N Go already!

I have the Baby Trend Double S n G and love it, love it, love it.
I'm not sure about your car seat though, we have Graco car seats.

I had the baby trend snap and go with Graco carriers. I loved using it and hated giving it up. The baby trend snap & go fits most carries. Try to go on-line to see if your carriers fit.

if you have to buy a new carrier, and want to use the snap and go - only the Graco snug ride seats will work properly. the Safeseats will not fit the snap and go.

I have Safe Seats in my double snap and go.

Ours are 3 months old and I don't know how we could have left the house without our double snap and go!
We've taken it to doctor's appointments, Target, walks, picnics, to friends outdoor bbq's, wherever!
I will say, I am looking forward to one day using our Valco stroller! But, the double snap and go was one of
those purchases that we weren't even going to get but a group at work wanted to buy us something big so I said
ok what about this snap and go thing, and it has turned out to be one of the top most needed items!

i could NEVER have survived w/out the sng! sleep is too precious to me, so i love not having to wake them up. we use the jogger now sometimes (and i'm sure we'll use it way more as time passes!), but the sng will be a fixture in our home until the babes outgrow their infant seats....

We love our SNG. I don't know what I would have done without it. It allowed me to get out of the house very early on with the boys all by myself. I will truly be sad to see it go. We have the baby trend car seats (though they are ok, I wouldn't really recommend them). We wanted the Chicco key fit 30's, but they didn't fit the double SNG because they don't have the slot in the bottom. We tried to get the Chicco in the SNG at BRU and could get it balanced on top and strapped down with the straps, but it still didn't seem very safe to me and I would have hated using the straps (we don't with ours) and I haven't lost one yet despite being a bit of a willy nilly driver from time to time and having my husband pick up the stroller via the front car seat no matter how many times I tell him not to.

Good luck on whatever you decide!

I have two Graco Snug ride car seats and a Duoglide stroller. Once you get the hang of how to snap the seats onto the stroller it's great. While I can fold the Duoglide with one hand (with a little practice) it is heavy to lift out of the SUV so that does take both hands. When the outgrow their seats, we can just use the stroller. I love it. I have no experience with SNG - but I do love the Graco setup.

I love the Graco Duoglide too.. the car seats snapped right in when they were infants and it was super easy to use... plus my boys are now 21 months old and we still use it ALL the time.

    Hi there!
I never even knew the Snap-N-Go existed until another twin mom that I met in music class insisted that I borrow hers.
She saw me struggling to carry the two carseats and my toddler around and felt sorry for me!
I had a side by side, but as newborns, my side by side just wasn't an option.

However, I realized that my two Chicco Key Fit carseats weren't on the accepted carseat list for the Snap-N-Go.
However, my handy DH checked it out, we realized the seats work just fine. He put some no slip stuff on one of the bars that the carseat sits on just in case and I always put the straps around the carseats.

I am careful though -- no mad dashes across streets or parking lots just in case. :)
    I love the Snap-n-Go!

By the way, we are using the Swan Snap and Go too. That one seems to work fine with the Chicco carseats.

I LOVE the snap n go, and I have a baby trend carseat that fits great in it, as well as a peg perego hand me down carseat. Highly recommend the snap n go!

Thanks so much, ladies. So it sounds like we should get the snap n go! One more question... Thanks to your replies I'm looking at the Swan Snap n Go by Baby Trend and I'm not sure if its any different than the regular Baby Trend Snap n Go. Is there a difference or is Swan just the color or the technical term for it? Thanks! : )

We did the same thing with our double Snap-n-Go. I actually have 2 Chicco Keyfit 30/30s, and they work just find (they don't "click" in, just rest on the bars, but very tightly - I've never had any problems).

One more "yay!!" for the Double Snap-n-Go. It's so easy to use and maneuver, and the big basket underneath is great for shopping! I loooove it:)

I have to say infatically STAY AWAY FROM THE BABY TREND CAR SEATS!!! We had a baby Trend Latch Loc & a Graco Snug Ride. We really like the snug ride and HATE the baby trend! The straps were hard to tighten, it was hard to instal and the customer service stinks! I called and complained about the seat and they said that I could send it back (at my expense) and they would inspect it to see if there was a defect and then either send our seat or a new seat back to us in 4-6 weeks!!! My question, What am I supposed to do for the next 4-6 weeks? She said, "well, I guess you will need to buy a new seat!!" WTF is she kidding!!!

As far as the double snap-n-go it is a definate MUST HAVE... I used it for at least 7 months and hated to give it up... I only did because we got rid of the Baby Trend Car seat! It is super light weight in comparison to any other double stroller and the convienience of putting the babies in it in theor car seats is priceless... I realize you can do this with other full size double stroller like the Graco, but it is so much easier and so much lighter. I now have the Kolcraft Contours tandem & the Bob Sport Utility and I dream of the days of the Double Snap-n-GO!

As far as using the Chicco I have no experience with that, but if you go to the Baby Trend website you can get the manual and find all the seats that are compatible w/ the snap-n-go...

    Good Luck!

I would say definitely get the snap n go (ebay or craigslist may save you some money). My boys are 9 months and I'm just having to give mine up this weekend because we are switching out carseats. I really really don't want to!! It's so lightweight and easy to maneuver, load and unload. I used my duoglider for the first time last weekend and it's so heavy and the buckles are horrible. I'm sure I'll get used to it though, but very glad I've had the snap n go last so long for us.

Love the Snap and Go. We are hoping the boys will stay under the weight limit for their seats until we get through the holidays so we can use it in the airport. Have a McClaren double that is very nice; but the Snap and Go is super easy. I think we have the baby trend Snap and Go and we have Baby Trend seats. We got our Snap and Go on Craig's List very inexpensively--you might check that out if you have a good Craigs List in your area.

I used 2 Chiccos in my baby Trend SNG- I just put the front one in first and the back one kinda wedged in behind the front one and they were perfectlly fine. I loved the Chicco so I really wanted a 2nd one but also wanted a SNG, so we just palyed around with it a little and it was fine. You can also put 2 carseat adapers on the Contours double stroller and basially turn it into a SNG, although it is bigger and heavier! I don't think it takes 2 Chiccos though- but have never tried 2..
