Hello

Hello all! So I realize I've been posting for a little while, but never formally introduced myself--My name is Sandy and I live in Durango which is a great small town near the mountains in SW Colorado. Our identical girls Analee and Tava were born in January at 36 weeks due to my pre-e (they were awesome-- 5 lbs. 10 oz and 4 lbs 7 oz--no NICU time). DH and I had been trying to have kids for about 2 years and were just getting ready to go to the next step in terms of getting help, when I got pregnant. In the waiting room for our first ultrasound (at 6 weeks because I am of "advanced maternal age") I joked with him "what if it's twins?"--he told me not to joke like that--it wasn't funny. Then, we were almost done with the ultrasound when the tech said "wait a minute" and she showed us a second little seahorse! I couldn't believe it--DH was so excited--I was terrified! Our girls are 5 months old today, and while the first 2 1/2 months were the hardest thing I've ever been through (and if we ever want to have a 3rd kid, I'll have to wipe DH's memory clean of that time), it is getting more fun all the time and I can't imagine life with just one. I have learned so much from you fabulous twin moms--thanks for everything!

Well hello! Congrats on your girls! They are beautiful. And it looks like you have a very hands-on husband. I fell in love with Durango during a Spring Break back in the day. I would love to come out there again someday.
