Hello, introducing myself

Hi, I thought I would finally introduce myself since I frequent here almost everyday and enjoy reading about everyone's progress. I am 25 week right now with fraternal b/g twins. It was a total shock to us that we were pregnant because I was on birth control and we were not trying. We have 2 children already, one boy who is almost 4 and one girl who is almost 6 months. Yes... I know she is young... we just adopted her in July and found out a month later we were pregnant. It has been a roller coaster ride already. The baby is almost 20# and that is my limit for lifting. We live in a 2 story house with all the bedrooms upstairs and carrying her up the stairs is not a pleasant experience - or really carrying her at all! I had a very unpleasant experience with the labor and delivery of my first which ended in an emergency c-section. This time at least it will be a planned c-section and hopefully it won't be as bad. I am just trying to take it day by day and not overdo things so that I can hopefully avoid bedrest either altogether or for as long as possible. I am still working but only 15 hours per week and hope to be leaving within the next few weeks.

I had drama with my son’s pregnancy and thought I had drama with delivery (really I realize now I was just scared and it went fast). Because of the early bed rest and every test under the sun coming back he had something major wrong with him (he came at 35 w perfectly healthy and NICU) we decided not to have any more children (though we started early because we wanted 4)… we could never imagine putting our self’s through that WITH a child in the mix as well… well what is meant to be will be, I was on bc and found out we were prego with id boys… my son will have just turned 10 when they are born (the twins and my son have the same due date TEN years to the date)…

I say this happened to show me I can do this calmly…
