hello, imagination!

    "So what did you do with Daddy this morning?"

    Andrew: "Went outside and saw leaf blowers!" (his #1 obsession right now)

    Ivy: "We went for a walk and saw an ostrich and he gave you [=me] a kiss!"

    (They went to the park.)

    On our way to the park this afternoon, Andrew was busy looking for leaf blowers, and Ivy was busy speculating about ostriches. "Maybe when we see the ostrich we can give him a pat! Maybe the ostrich can go up the slide! Maybe the ostrich can go wheeee on the slide!"

    I must say, this goes a long way toward making up for all the whining and tantrums! :rofl:

    That's just too cute.

    My current route to work is through 40 km of desert past a safari park. Most days I see ostriches. Tomorrow I'll be thinking of Ivy.
