Hello Again, First Year!

Hello First Year!!

it's been four fast months since the arrival of our b/g twins Gabriel and Stella. i lurked on these forums my entire pregnancy, and your posts really got me through those long last weeks of bedrest. but ever since the babies were born, i just havent had the time to come back and say hello. now that they have sort of morphed into a bit of a schedule on their own, i just wanted to reintroduce myself! can't wait to share stories, get support and advice from other twin parents in our age group.

here is a bit more about me and my family from my blog. we live in NYC and this blog is mostly about love for my little neighborhood. i do post diaries on occasion because blogging and twitter helps keep me sane. this post is called A Day In the Life of #MultipleMadness. we will be having our first babysitters ever this saturday, and im nervous as hell. have you left your LOs with any family yet for the night? my husb & i are in *desperate* need of a date night, but im biting my nails already!!

(note: for moms at work - there is a tandem nursing shot of me with my babies on the blog, just a heads up!)

 

Congratulations on your twins! I left my kids over night with my parents when they were 4 months old, I was nervous (even though I know my parents would take excellent care of them) but it went great and my husband and I had a great time out. Enjoy the time together!

 

I left my girls with my parents for two nights the other week so my husb and I could have an anniversary dinner and a good night sleep. I was a lot more relax then I thought I would have been. Probably because I knew they were with fmaily. But by sunday, I missed them so much I went over first thing in the morning to pick them up. It's hard but you will enjoy that time with your husband. :welcome: back! I don't remember how old my kids were the first time I left them overnight, but I'm sure they will be fine. I understand your nervousness, I would have been the same way but it will be great for you guys to get some time alone! :hug:
