Heart Beats

I know I'm posting a bunch of questions but I just thought of something I wanted to ask about.

What were the typical heart beats of your babies? Mine started out almost the same around 183, then at my first MFM appt they were 167 and 173 and stayed around there, then my last OB appt they were 148 and 154 ... Is this decrease normal? Neither of my doctors seem bothered by it, but it worries me about. This is my first pregnancy and I feel like everything I could worry about I do, lol.

very normal! My boys ranged from the 140-160's depending on if they were resting or "fighting for space"

 

Agree it's totally normal. And as Slipper said, it'll vary as to whether they are active or resting!

 

My girls have been down in the 140s to 150s the last several appointments - which is pretty well in line with what I saw with my oldest. So completely normal. If it was something to worry about, the doctors would let you know in my experience.

Normal. My midwife explained it to me. When they are so tiny, they are like hummingbirds- the blood travels through the whole body and back so fast that the heart pumps really fast to keep up and re-oxygenate. When they get bigger it slows down because the blood takes longer to circulate. Elephants heartbeats are something like one every two minutes!
