We are in a snack rut! I'm trying to get healthier in this area also. I need some new ideas-even the dog won't eat cheerios anymore!
What are your toddlers favorites? my girls just turned two.
I'm guessing that there are more of us out there that can benefit from this topic too.
    Thanks in advance!

Any sort of fruit, string cheese, veggie chips/sticks are some of our favorites.

The thing no one in my house has gotten sick of--esepcially the dogs--is turkey breast sandwich meat, take a slice from the frigde and roll it like taco and bite. Most weeks that's the only meat we eat and the only way we eat it.

They also have loved hard boiled eggs since two.

Any kind of chease. Sandwiches (I cut them in 4 triangles for snack time). Fruit--dried fruit if you have a history of good teeth. Raw broccoli and coliflower with dip, whole grain crackers. My girls love nuts now, but I think I didn't start those until 3 you need to be confident that they are gonna chew them.

edited, because I inadvertatly used a Spanish word.

I make hummus (chickpeas, yogurt, lemon, garlic, tahini in the food processor) because store-bought is so expensive, and then let them dip whole grain crackers or carrot sticks in it. They LOVE it!

They also love granola and vanilla yogurt mixed together, of course any kind of cheese, apples, rice cakes with peanut butter and raisins to make faces :) , quick quesadillas (two whole grain tortillas wraps with cheese, turkey and avocado but you could just do the cheese in a hurry, then I grill it on the Foreman grill and cut into triangles), yogurt, Nature Valley granola bars...

    Hope this helps!

Fruit, mainly bananas, grapes, blueberries, and apples in my house.
    Dried fruit
    string cheese
garlic parmesan triscuits are a huge fav
    pretzels
baby carrots/ranch dressing (I think they enjoy the ranch more but oh well)

On the snackie end of things, my guys love:
    - edamame (or actually thawed or canned beans of any type--kidney, cannelini, etc.)
    - crackers and cheese
    - green beans (steamed or raw)
    - raisins
    - apple slices
    - frozen peas (ok, maybe just my kids love frozen peas--they find the cold icecube texture fascinating--probably worth a try though)
    - blueberries (cut 'em in half or else they come out whole the other end...lesson learned) :p
    - grapes
    - cherry tomatoes (though can lead to diaper rash)
    - bananas
    - graham crackers (I try to get the kind with less sugar)
    - olives
    - prunes (a.k.a. "snackies!" in our house)
