I was getting them everyday, bad ones. I work in an office with fluorescent lighting, I read in my twins book that the lighting brings on pregnancy induced migraines so I turned off the lights and brought in a natural light lamp....NO MORE HEADACHES. The twins book had a whole list of things to avoid to help with headaches. Cant remember which one it is, but its a white cover with blue TWINS on it.

I went through a time where I got the same horrible headache every day. It was always over the left side of my head, and would last hours and hours. When I would stand up it felt like I was getting hit in the head with a bat. I took extra strength tylenol...didn't help. My ob said drink a diet coke! That's my kind of medicine... Cold compresses helped a little, but ultimately it just seemed to go away on it's own. It was totally miserable. I feel your pain. Hope you find something that helps you!

Have you checked you blood pressure when you have your headaches? Also look at what types of food you have eaten in the last 24 hours. Sometimes spicy foods will cause headaches. I had sever migrains with my twins and I use Excedrin Migrain.

Good luck...I also kept a daily dairy and still do.

Hi! Yes, I get one every afternoon. [IMG] I talked to my doctor about it today. She said it is hormonal. She said to take Tylenol just do not exceed the recommended dose.

Yes I think I had a headache everyday for days at a time during the first trimester and at the beginning of the second. It just seemed like it would never go away. Alot has to d with the increase in blood volume and hormonal changes, it should ease up after awhile depending on how far along you already are.
I took tylenol and laid down with a cold washcloth over my eyes when they got really bad.

    Hi There,
I'm sorry you're having headaches every day. I understand how painful and frustrating they are.
I have a headache almost every day too. I've been checked and everything is fine. The doctor thinks it's all hormonal. [IMG]
So basically they will probably not go away until I deliver. [IMG]

I had horendous headaches this time with the twins. My doc even gave me a prescription (on an as needed basis... I took 2) It was a combo of acedominafin and caffine. My b/p was fine and still is... but my doc said if they lasted longer than 19 weeks something else was up... so keep track. (mine went away at about 18 1/2 weeks... no kidding)

    HI,

I had headaches when my hormones changed from HCG to progesterone, etc. at approx 12 weeks or so. I also found that nitrates exacerbated the headaches.

So, I had to avoid bacon, deli meats, sausage, hot dogs, etc. (especially in restaurants) I did find nitrate free hot dogs, deli meat and bacon at whole foods... so I didn't feel like I couldn't eat those foods.

Fruit seemed ot cause me headaches as well. at least for a time.

    Good luck,

    Teri D

thanks so much for all of your responses.. it helps knowing you are not alone in this.. I feel like I have a different ache everyday..
My doctor did put me on firocet.. which I only take half of one.. I think a combination of hormones and stress for me and not enough sleep.
    thanks again Ladies..
    you are the best!
