For the past 2 days I have had the worst headache I have ever had. The pressure is horrible. The only time I dont feel like my head is going to explode is when I am laying down. Anyone have the same issue, and what do you do to help it?

I took Extra Strength Tylenol and drank a Diet Coke. The pain reliever combined with the caffeine would give me some relief. to you. I had horrible migraines during my first trimester with my older DD. I was in and out of the hospital for IV narcotics to get some relief. Dont be afraid to call your OB about them either. They can help.

I had some fierce headaches in the beginning!! to the point that they would make me sick to my stomach. I would lay in bed with an ice pack on my head and it really helped.

Quite typical for "first" trimester. My OB advised me to drink a little bit of caffeine a day, which for me meant a Diet Coke which did really work well. And of course Tylenol works wonders for me too!

I had a headache almost everyday until around 15-16 weeks and then they stopped. Tylenol did nothing for them. My OB said that was pretty normal. But I know they are not fun. I dint' find anything that worked, I didn't want to have caffeine everyday so I didn't drink soda to help.

I had headaches until 16 weeks and they were the worst, I read they are very common. I didn't want to take anything for them so I just sucked it up and took it easy. Hang in there.

Oh Boy do I feel you... :( I've been having headaches the last week or two. I usually try to tough it out, but chasing around a toddler all day doesn't give me much time to relax and "ride it out", so I will have a soda and if that doesn't work I'll try a Tylenol... Sometimes it's even a matter of eating something and that might help...

I can only imagine how much worse it gets having to work at a computer all day. Good luck! Maybe try a soda or some caffeine type drink. Hopefully your headaches clear up soon!

I know what it`s like having a headache and chasing a toddler around as well. My son is 19 months, and on the weekend that's what Ì'll be doing, plus some more packing for our up coming move on July 1st. I really need to get rid of this headache

Yeah that sucks..I remember those days...I think that my body was getting use to the hormonial change..and I personally think that the pre-natals had something to do with it as well.Yeah I had to take tylenol and drink plenty..plenty..plenty of water..taking warm baths and laying in a cool or venilated room helped as well and make sure that you are not hungry or dehydrated because that also can contribute to those headaches. Also I found that having a quiet or peaceful or tranquil enviroment helped as well. Hope you feel better.

I like warm baths "floating" with my head immersed or a cold cloth over my forehead and eyes and tylenol. I am so sorry, I remember those and thankfully they aren't coming as often as they were in the early days. I don't do caffeine when pregnant usually but if it was bad sometimes a caffeinated pop with some tylenol helped. Or even just the drink. Good luck!

Hi. We are both in the same stage... I am also 13 weeks. My headaches started about 4 weeks ago though... they were really horrible for about 2-3 weeks and then got gradually less... I still get them but not as much (probably just jinxed it by saying that). I hope it ends for you soon. I also work in front of a computer all day and frankly that is easier to me than my days "off" when I am chasing a toddler and trying to get life done. I feel for you having to move right at this stage. Do you have family near by you could ask for help so you could get some rest? I found taking a tylenol and sleeping would help me.. but who has time for that every day! Good luck. Hang in there!

My aunt has been taking my son Donevan for me on saturdays, but I usually pack when he is not around. As I only have this weekend and next before we do move, I need to get it all done in the next 2 weekends. So no rest for the weary yet. I am hoping once we have moved and things have settles a bit, I will start to feel better. I will be going to bed really early tonight

my solution to headaches when preggo was always a pop (i stayed away from artifiical sweetners when pregnant so I had a regular one) and a bag of M&M's! The caffeine in the chocolate and the soda really helped!

I've had migraines since I was 6, and I've been treated by a neuro for the past few years.

Some things I do that aren't prescription are: Can of coke and tylenol (I actually do coke/tylenol/zofran right now, but the zofran is script obviously.)
Menthol gel pads - "Well Patch" is the brand. I keep them in the fridge. Very nice to have.
If I don't have the gel pads, or need to be out of the house, I try peppermint (candy flavoring) oil daubed on my forehead.
Figuring out which parts of me want to be warm, and which cool. Sometimes I really want to snuggle in a blanket, but still have an ice pack on my head.

Chiropractic sessions help with tension, but not the migraine - but still worth it to take the edge off!

My dentist also suspects I have a bit of TMJ and suggested a mouthguard - maybe you could bring this up, too? It sounds like tension is contributing to your pain.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yesterday I took some tylenol and drank a coke like some of the girls suggested, and it took the edge off. I was in bed at 8 with a cold cloth on my head, and this morning I feel ok so far. Ì'll def try the peppermint though, as I am sure it wont be the last time I will get a headache like that
