Head Twitching - I'm worried!

On Monday my daughter leaned her head toward her right shoulder a couple times, then even more on Tuesday. On Wednesday, she started shaking her head no leaning it toward her right shoulder. She did it even more today - especially tonight. It is easy to tell that she is not shaking/twitching her head on purpose. I'm very scared about this. Has anyone else experienced this? And she started grunting a lot today - not sure if that's connected to her head actions.

How do you know that she is not doing this on purpose? Lots of babies do strange things in experimentation with what feels funny or good, KWIM? If you are really concerned I would call your Ped and have her checked out.

one of my girls does this and i thought she was getting an ear infection cause she kept leaning her head to the right side and i paid close attention to it and it was her own hair that was tickling her. but if your really concern call ur pedi asap so you dont have that lil voice inside telling you "something's wrong" all the time.

I agree with what Rachel said - how do you know she's not doing it on purpose? My girls do goofy things all the time.

its true, babies are strange. If your worried you could take her into the pedi though just to get it checked out.
    That being said...
my ds leg twitched until he was about 6 months old, we knew it wasnt a seizure because I could grab it and it would stop. My pedi said its normal, just some misfiring in the brain and it should resolve around 6 months...which it did and he is perfectly fine.

My ds did something that sounds similar to that when he was about 5 months old. We took him into the ped who sent us to the children's hospital. Owen underwent a mountain of testing in the 2 days he was admitted. Turns out it was absolutely nothing. He is a healthy and active 5yo now with no signs of anything wrong. I hope it's the same for you :)
