So, lately ds will only eat things that are green (peas, green beans, melon) :p How on earth do I get some protein into him, finger food wise? Luckily he will eat the jarred combo meat dinner things, but I really want them on all people food soon.

    TIA

Wow you're lucky! :D You could try food coloring - a couple of drops and everything's green!

My oldest was a "vegetarian" and he would not eat meat, so we fed him cheese and beans. You could also give tofu a try.

My girls are the same way, they LOVE greens. Spinach and asparagus are their favorite. Like Jenny said, try some tofu. I cute up some baked tofu for my girls and they chow it down. Good luck.

Ha! Mine are still young, but they only REALLY like peas...yuck! ha
They cry for more peas every time I feed them peas. And, they hate sweet potatoes...very odd!

Gosh, I'm jealous! Mine make the most horrible faces when I put anything green in thier mouths! I have found that their tastes tend to change quite often though. As far as adding some protein, you could always go with cheese and beans. Mine love cheese (I buy that Kraft crumbles stuff, darn convenient!!), and will tolerate canned black beans.

My girls absolutely love veggies and fruit. It's really not a terrible problem to have, honestly, except that those items don't really have a lot of fat/calories! What I do is give them the meat/pasta/cheese/yogurt/etc. first, then give them their veggies and/or fruit.

They will seriously eat an entire can of green beans between the 2 of them, probably a half a bag or more of frozen peas, 20 baby carrots each, and strawberries and grapes...no idea how many, we have to stop them somewhere. :)

What are some tofu recipes? How do you serve the asparagus? I will have to try some black beans, I tried garbonzo beans and it did not go over well, LOL!!

And I agree, I am sure one day soon he will HATE anything green!
