Finally something good to report. DS held his 10oz. bottle for the whole thing and finished it. I still held him and helped him with his aim some, but he held it himself the whole time. I am SOOOOOOOOOO proud of him. He is turning into such a big boy. DD will likely not hold hers for some time as she hates her bottle and much prefers solids. Left to do it on her own she wouldnt drink any. YEAH THOMAS ROYCE!
Way to go Thomas    My girls can hold their bottle but won't. The only time they want to hold it is after their done eating and then they want to play with it.
Congrats Tammy - that is fantastic. I have one girl who holds her bottle all of the time and another who couldn't be bothered. I'm amazed (and jealous) that your son can drink 10 oz at a time... my girls have never ever been able to make it past 7 ounces. Anything past that causes spit up.
That is wonderful!! As I am reading this I am realizing how different things are for twins vs. singetons. I can remember wanting my boys to hold their bottles on their own and weening them to cups at 1 year and now with my daughter, though she is 1 I still hold her bottle and haven't weened her at all  Great Job Royce!!!

In the morning he is a complete PIG! Since I cut his cereal back he is a lot hungrier and drinks more! In a day he gets about 24oz. total so you can see he gets almost all of it in the AM. He will not drink again until 2:30. His first bottle was at 8am.
Awesome!!! Both my girls now hold their own bottles and I miss the days when they would let me hold and feed them.
That's great news Tammy!! I know once Henry & Ellie started holding their own bottles - feeding times became much less stressful at our house!! Have they stopped spitting up after their illness and gotten back on track? I know you were having such a hard time! I hope it's gotten better. (I haven't looked back at the rest of the posts, so maybe you posted elsewhere - sorry!) Suzi

Suzi My Elizabeth is totally well again and eating like a champ. Her diapers are wet again and she is my perfect little angel once again. Thomas is slowly getting there. Yesterday was the first day he took more than 12oz. so I am hoping it is a step in the right direction. We do see the Ped at 4:00 today so we shall see how that goes. I hate reflux! I do not imagine I will ever feel that way. Get back to me in a couple months though.
:yahoo: Thomas!!! :yahoo: QUOTE(Tammy Fine @ Feb 25 2008, 09:56 AM) I hate reflux! <_< It's been almost a year since my ds has had to deal with reflux, and I still hate it.
Woo Hoo, he just did it again. This time he kept taking it out and laughing. It is like he knew what a big boy he was. I am in love!

This boy is about 22 pounds now I think so I think he needs it. LOL! Right before his 2nd bottle he had 6oz. of solids as well. His tummy is a bottomless pit when he WANTS to eat!
