Last night was awful! I have never had an older baby do this. Ben was really grumpy and sad yesterday and all he wanted was to be held. Well, last night he slept for maybe two hours and cried the rest of the night. I held him, tried to feed him, swing, etc. nothing worked. He did have a fever yesterday and I think this morning, but I thought that maybe it was due to the shots from their 6 mo appt. yesterday. Any thoughts?

Does he have a tooth about to erupt? :unknw: My DD gets like that every time we get a new tooth!

I agree with pp, could very well be from the shots. My dd got very grumpy after shots and then had a restless night. I feel bad for your little guy! Hope tonight is better! :hug99:

I think it was the shots - did you give Tylenol? I always give it one hour before the appt., and then every four hours, just for the first day.

Mine were that way after their shots ... they kept waking up crying. We gave them Tylenol.

Of course, they are still waking up crying so who knows!

My DS did this last week for a few days. I took him to the nurse practioner and she said it was teething. While I know he is teething I totally disagreed with her. I saw the ped. on Monday. He said babies don't wake because of teething. He said it is normally ear infections or upset stomachs. Both of mine have double ear infections that have been treated for weeks. You may want to take your little one in to the ped.

Mine haven't reacted that way to shots, but could be. I'd think teething or an ear infection as well. I hope he sleeps better tonight, poor little guy!

My DD has never acted like the shots made her feel bad at all, and never ran fever. My son has gotten super ill every time. The last round at 6 months was the worst, and he was up all night that first night. It was awful. By 48 hours later he seemed back to himself.
