hello ladies- just wondering what your levels were (if you had them taken) for your twins?
    my levels so far are:
    9 dpo: 16
    11 dpo: 81
    15 dpo: 452

    are these indicative of twins?
with my last pregnancy, levels were much much lower- at 15 dpo, they were 129.

All I know is that my HCG levels were over tripling in about 17 hours. Now with that said I know that you can have high HCG with a singleton too. But my first indication of multiples was my HCG levels. My progesterone was on the higher side, but not overly so.

Mine 17 DPO were 708 and 19DPO were 1931. So yours are definitely on the high side.

did they get you in for an earlier u/sound based on those numbers, or did you have to wait until 8 weeks?

I did IVF, so I got an ultrasound at 6 weeks. I'm not sure how it would work if it wasn't part of that process. Good luck and fingers crossed. My twins aren't here yet, but it has been a crazy ride so far.

yes, i have been there. i have an 8 year old DD, 5 year old DS, ID twin DD who are 3 this saturday, and a 19 month of DS. twin pregnancy was pretty crazy. and hard. :( i never had my number drawn with the girls, though, so i don't have anything to compare to. i just went for an ultrasound, and there they were... :) :)

    betas:
    9 dpo: 16
    11 dpo: 81
    15 dpo: 452
    17 dpo: 900

what were your twin (or singleton) betas?

At 14dp3dt, mine was 1310. My progesterone was 94. I have read several times that the high progesterone number is a bigger indicator of multiples than the beta.

My RE did not run another beta due to the really strong numbers. He just scheduled me for my first ultrasound at 5 1/2 weeks, and that is where 2 sacs were seen. Two H/B's seen about a week later.

Betabase.info is a great place to check out thousands of women's beta's, average beta's for singleton and twin pregnancies, and to plug your own beta's in to check your doubling times :)

I don't remember what mine were, I'd have to dig out my pregnancy diary to check :)

I agree with Susan that a high prog # can better indicate multiples, mine was 86 or 89 I believe. I saw 2 sacs at 6 wks 5 days, but only heard 1 heartbeat, the other one was beating really slow and we couldn't hear it. At 8 wks we heard both healthy beating heartbeats.
