OMG, let me just say what an absolute MESS it makes when you do. I accidentaly threw one in with a bunch of the kids clothes this morning and it exploded in the washer. It makes this silicone like, little pebble clumped, MESS! UGH...still working to clean it all out of there.

Yes, I did that twice when my daughter was younger and still in diapers. It is SUCH a big mess!
I haven't done it with the boys yet but I am sure that will happen again some time.

same thing happens with disposable breast pads. ew. mess.

I cloth diaper the boys but typically use disposable wipes, and those just turn to fabric in the wash...I was surprised.

I have done it twice but it really did not make a mess either time. My nanny would find them when she was swtiching the wash to the dryer and she would make fun of my mommy brain.

Not only did I wash it, but I dried it too! I still have the lint on some of my clothes!

Oh yes  It is horrible to clean out.

What I usually do is clean out the worst of it and run an empty rinse & drain. That cleans it up.

YES- I did it a couple months ago with a pull-up and then I did it again the VERY next day! It's so gross!

Never with a diaper, but several times with pull-ups. My DD doesn't normally pee in them so they aren't very bulky in her pajama bottoms. It does make a huge mess! I usually get the shop vac out and sweep it out.

No I haven't, but I'm afraid my SO will eventually. I was watching him change DD once when he was really really tired, I mean can't hardly keep your eyes open tired. He almost put her dirty diaper back on thinking it was a new one. I stopped him before he did it though. I took over from there and said go to sleep. :D

I haven't thrown a diaper in but I have thrown a (solid) poop in. DH changed the diaper and somehow he managed to roll the turd out into the leg of the footed pajamas. I zipped it up as usual to wash it and it went through the washer *and* the dryer. When I took the lint tray out I noticed there were little bits of poo in there. That's when I went through the load and found a piece of dried up poo still in the leg of the pajamas. It was so gross, there were little flecks of poo all over the whole inside of the pajamas. Needless to say I had to rewash everything twice.

I called Pampers when I did it and they told me to scoop out as much of the gell stuff as you can and shake it out of the clothes. Run a rinse cycle through your empty washer. Put the clothes in the dryer and the gel will dry out and go to your lint trap. It worked! HTH :)
