OK, last night I was sitting on the couch watching Idol when I started to feel this strange pressue in the lower back. I think I felt it early but I was in a battle of wills with Megan about eating, drinking and taking her meds. This past week as been so STRESSFUL with the girls recoevering from getting their tonsils out. Anyway, the pressure started to get stronger and made it's way to my lower belly. If I was further along I might think it was a braxton but I don't think so this early. I am wonder if it was stress or maybe something normal and I am just panicky for nothing. Happy to say it went away and I was prepared to call the OB if it happened again but it did not.

    What do you think?

I am pretty sure it could be braxton hick's, even this early. Maybe it could have also been the baby rolling over and changing positions. If it continues to happen I would probably call the doctor just to be on the safe side! If it doesn't happen again, I wouldn't worry about it.

How is the tonsil recovery coming?

Hmm... I'm glad the pressure stopped for you. I think that I would pay attention to your body and see if it happens again and how often and be sure to let your dr. know about it.

I think that I was feeling something similar to contractions around 18, 19 and 20 weeks and like you passed it off as I figured it was too early for Braxton Hicks. I did mention it to my dr. at my 20 week appointment and she said it was possible and said I needed to come in if I was experiencing those feelings more then 3 or 4 times a day. It seems to happen to me when I am busy doing house cleaning. I started to wonder if it wasn't just me trying to get out of scrubbing toilets :)

It's funny, my twins are four years old now and I seem to have already forgotten all about these pregnancy symptoms...I feel like it's my first time doing this...when I should probably feel relaxed and like an old pro.

My girls are 6 and I feel the same way. My mom has the girls today so I am taking it easy and eating ice cream. Thank you so much for your response.....it really helped.

It sounds like Braxton Hicks to me. I have had 2 or 3 in the last month or so. Like PP, my Dr. said you could have them at any time during your pregnancy.
