HATES SLEEPING

So, up until the last few days my twins have been amazing sleeping. I am so proud of them.

Well lately DD has decided she does not want to sleep. At naps she cries for the entire 2 hours and at night she will cry and fight for 3 or 4 hours. It is almost like she is scared of her bed. As soon as we start walking down the hallway, she freaks and starts getting tense.

I try to calm her down. I even tried cuddling her and singing to her until she fell asleep. (I have never done this before)

Every time I go in there she is standing in her crib reaching out and screaming like someone is trying to kill her.

I thought it was teething (she has 5 teeth and has never cried before when cutting teeth) so I tried Ibuprofen. I even tried gas drops as we have just switched to milk and I thought it might be that.

It is almost bed time. Heres hoping she goes to sleep without screaming blue murder!

I don't have any advice, but that does seem odd. I hope it gets better soon as understandably this would be tough!

:hug99: Do you think she is coming down with something? She is also at an age where separation anxiety might start.

We've had isolated nights of this with both the girls in the last 2 months. Thankfully those nights are isolated because I need my sleep now (not like the early days). The only thing that works is for DH and I to take turns going in there and patting bums and turning on the music in their cribs and staying in the room until they fall asleep. I wish I had better advice for you. :hug99:

Just wanted to say that I hope it gets better!! It possibly could be separation anxiety!

It does sound like separation anxiety. Or maybe has anything changed in your life? My DD would have those episodes after any change (in her routine, visitors, bedroom, etc., even small changes). Unfortunately, this will probably come and go. With DD, everytime we've been fool enough to tell people how lucky we are because she's sleeping through, another series of fighting to go to bed or night awakening started.

Hang in there, I know it's really tough!

So last night we did out bedtime routine and put them to bed at the same time we have since they were born and she screamed for 3 hours. Finally at 11pm she went to sleep. At 4am she woke up and screamed some more. If you walk by her room or something she stops and listens.

    She really truly hates sleeping.

The funny thing is Tug sleeps through it all!

She cried all night and her brother cut a tooth.

When she was cutting her 5, he drooled and chewed on things.

It is like they are teething for each other!@
