This weekend I was a bridesmaid in one of my friends wedding and while standing up at the front of the church during the ceremony I got really really dizzy, my vision got really blurry, started sweating and really nauseous. I had to run out of the church and threw up. I was fine after that. I really haven't thrown up too much while I've been pregnant but have had morning sickness but it has mostly gone away but this was totally different. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it something I should be concerned about

I haven't had it happen yet in this pregnancy but in my last pregnancy it happened almost every Sunday in church. We would get there, I would be fine and then when we would go to stand up for the first song I would get those EXACT symptoms. I never threw up though. Honestly, I think it was the craziness of getting everyone around and rushing out the door. That may be what happened being that you were probably all over the place prior to the wedding. Anyway, I started taking a water and crackers with me to church just in case. Certainly tell your doctor at your next visit though in case they have a different idea as to what happened. Good luck!

Did you get busy and forget to drink water? If I don't chug a ton of water when I wake up my blood pressure drops and I get these same symptoms (minus the throwing up, but does make you feel sick). This happened to me at work (I work at a hospital) and a nurse came and took my blood pressure which had dropped to 90/70. She insisted that I go to labor and delivery and get checked out, but after I drank a bunch of water I was fine. If this keeps happening though I would ask Dr. about it for sure, could be a sign of something more serious.

At 11 wks it's probably blood pressure related, your body is producing more blood than it's used to and sometimes it just gets overwhelmed. I agree if it continues to happen talk to your dr, but just a single incident is probably nothing to be worried about!

From fairly early on this pregnancy--I forget when exactly but I'd say sometime between 12 and 15 weeks--I started getting dizzy and lightheaded after standing up for very long at all. (It would vary; I could last anywhere from maybe 2 minutes to sometimes as long as 15.) If I had tried to stay standing, which I did a couple times, I would start to black out; I HAD to sit down. My docs never seemed concerned about it but I would still mention it to yours. I do tend to have low BP so that may be part of it for me.
