Has anyone used the CARES harness on the plane?

Has anyone out there actually flown with the CARES harness (the one from kidsflysafe.com)? How old were your kids when you used it? How did you like it? Could your kids slide out from under it?

I have very active almost two year olds who like to either unbuckle the seat belt on the airplane or just slide under it, but I really don't want to drag our carseats through the airport on our next trip (which will be just after they turn 2). Do you think these CARES harnesses are worth getting?

I bought 2 and used them. I was by myself and I didn't want them running up and down the plane being little terrors....ok not realistic but I have trouble flying already.

I thought they were a great investment and kept them from trying to get out. Ashley figured out how to unbuckle the airplane seatbelt but only did it once.

I used them about 2 months ago.

 

I have these and traveled with my kids when they were 18 months old. I found the straps were too high, especially when my kids were trying to sleep and were kind of leaning forward, the strap was against their neck (looked very uncomfortable). But that probably gets better as they get older. My kids didn't like the CARES harness, but I felt that they were safer in that, as compared with the regular airline seatbelt. If we fly again and we don't need their car seats, I'll use the CARES harness again.

Oh, by the way, my kids weren't able to get out of the CARES harness, but they were only 18 months old at the time.
