Has anyone used PODS?

I have read a lot about them and the idea seems great. (PODS)
Has anyone used them? Would you recommend them or were you disappointed?

My twins are only 20 months old, but my DD seems to show most of the readiness signs and I would like to help her really want to use the potty without pressuring her. I have been asking her "Do you need do pee/poop?" but for now she only tells me after the fact. Then she wants to be changed right away. She will sit on the potty, but so far has not actually gone. DS is nowhere near being ready. He just started sitting on the potty yesterday and will only do it for a few seconds at a time with his diaper on.

I'm curious about these also. I guess no reply means no one has tried them? If they were that great, don't you think there would be alot or some reply about how effective they are?

I hate to tell you, but knowing after the fact, and knowing before are two totally different things. Many children don't like being dirty, but have no idea what a full bladder feels like. I would wait. I think one of the links at the top of the forum say that once they show all signs of readiness, to wait another 3-6 months before starting to train.

To me, they sound like another gimmick--like the feel and learn pull-ups.

Like I said, I don't want to pressure her. I am just starting the process of familiarizing her with the potty and trying to help her understand when she needs to go. I don't expect her to fully train right now. I just think of it as fun practice when she sits on the potty and stuff. She is having fun with it, too. She sits and we count, then clap.

I am just trying to prepare for when it is time to fully train. I know that it can sometimes take a while to get a response to questions (like this one :p ) and since I've only seen this item online, I know it will take a while to come when, and if, I order it. I am just trying to find out if they work so I can decide whether they are a good option when the time comes. That way, I can order them and have them on-hand instead of her being ready and having to wait on them being delivered.

    Just planning ahead...

I don't want to ignore the readiness signs that she is showing and I want to encourage her in a fun way to develop more signs.

I'm with ya! My DD is starting to show great signs of readiness and my MIL is VERY excited but I am holding off till after some of our summer travel etc. I got her the "feel and learn" diapers and they DO NOT feel MORE wet than her diapers, so THOSE don't work! But the pods I have never heard of. I am going to give the training pants a try (like the cloth diaper material) I don't know that I want to get into Pull Ups.....kwim?
