Has anyone used a Fetal Doppler to listen to the heartbeats?

I'm 10 weeks on Thursday and VERY excited and anxious to get past this ultrasound with both babies healthy and strong. I'm still pretty nervous and at least until I can feel them move I really want to rent a doppler to listen to their heartbeats for reassurance. I was looking at BabyBeats or Heartones.com and wondering if anyone has any experience with them or any other place? Also - with twins - is it better to get the digital output so you can see the BPM right away so you can distinguish them or was it easy enough just to count the beats and decipher that way? Thanks so much in advance!!!

I used one with my first pregnancy but I have no experience with this pregnancy. I would say that you could get the digital output one - but they could be so close in BPM that you could still get them mixed up with whose heartrate it is. You could easily rent it for a month or two and in my opinion, it is worth the peace of mind :)

i used one with my singleton and the twins from about 10.5 weeks. i got the digital output one with my singleton and found that it didn't really work right and so i never used it. with the twins i got one without the digital output and i could find them both. they each sounded slightly different to me!

My doc just used one yesterday at my appt. We think she picked up 2 different HB's in 2 different spots, but she did an u/s to be sure. They were both in the 170's so we really couldn't be sure.

i rented from baby beat.. they are a bit hard to find. soo be prepared to be frusterated and dig around for them for like 15 20 minutes.. the one with the heart rate might be the better choice because then you know you've found each baby. I loved having mine so reasuring. :D

I had this one http://www.amazon.com/BT-200-Doppler-Monit...D/dp/B000O38ZRS from Hi BeBe and loved having it. I used it from about 9 weeks until I could feel them moving around. I never had much trouble finding them each. The heartbeats were usually just enough different that I was confident I was hearing both. You do have to be patient and realize that you might not find both of them every single time though. I enjoyed being able to listen to them and would highly recommend this one.

I had the baby beat one, It worked wonderfully! It was actaully what they used at the hospital when I was in there so many times. Until the babies were big enough to stay on the big monitors.

    I highly recommend it!

Thanks so much everyone!! I found this one:

    http://heartones.com/badowdidimor.html

It has a digital readout and I can get 4 months for 136.00 - I thought that was pretty good. The prices are a quite a bit lower than Baby Beat but I want to make sure that I'm getting the same quality - you know what I mean?
