Has anyone seen my kids?

My happy babies seem to have been replaced my whining, crying babies! I am not sure when it happened but they are NOT the same kids I had last week.

For the last couple of days one or both have been whiny from after lunch to bedtime. Tonight we went to another couples house for dinner and I am pretty sure that any thoughts they had about having kids one day are gone!!

Someone please tell me that my happy, well-mannered girls will be back some day! I am NOT ready for the terrible 2's at 15 months!!!

:hug99: My dh claims I chalk everything up to "teeth". So, if all else fails, blame the inevitable-teeth must be coming in. Or maybe it's the weather, or the placement of the moon? I try so hard to come up with an excuse, but it doesn't change the crabbies one little bit. Hope it's better soon!

If it makes you feel better, I have weeks like that, too.

I thought the same thing when our girls were 15 months old. They were very whiny, clingy, and didn't want to sleep through the night anymore. Thank goodness it got better again. I can't remember exactly when, but they did go back (more or less) to the way they were. I still have no idea why they acted that way!

DS went through this not long ago and he got some molars. Maybe that is part of it.
Has there been any change to their schedule? If I ever wander from my babies schedule, I know it with the crying and whining.

I would say, teeth or their schedule is out of sync. It could also be they are ready to change their schedule. Fifteen/sixteen to about eighteen months was very trying at our house. It got better around ninteen.

:love0028: We went through that here with my ds around 15 months or so. He would not stop whining and fussing for days!! It has gotten better and hopefully it will get better for your two even sooner! It lasted about two/three weeks here. And I'm sure there is more to come.

I recall some increased whinyness around that age. I also recall many people telling me that 12-16 months (or some said 11-14 months, or 15-18...) was a whiny age for them too. It was never awful, but it did get better around 18 months once they had more idea of how to communicate. It wasn't even necessarily verbal communication (since Sarah is still barely doing that), but at least they had the concept that there are better ways to indicate what you want than whining.

My girls are 32 months and are still the biggest whiners on the planet!! I keep hoping that this is just a phase and it will disappear when they turn three. Good luck!
