I think I am pg. I have had 2 tests with faint positives. I am going to test again in the morning. Did any of you get pregnant while nursing your twins? Mine are 17 months.

I have an internet friend who had twins (IVF) and then found out she was 4 months pregnant. She was nursing but not exclusively, especially around 8 months when she weaned. It definitely can happen. Keep us updated!

I got my first period on December 28 and my second on February 10. I ovulated on March 10th and got pg. My twins were 14 months and 8 days when I got the first one.

I would love to have 2 in here but I don't know if there are. I am really looking forward to the first ultrasound. I think there will be a little letdown at first if there is only one. All that really matters is that the baby is healthy so I will get over it quick though!

I don't have it scheduled yet. I have an interview appointment tomorrow and then a midwife appt. on Monday so hopefully they will schedule it soon. I don't think I will have a problem getting it done soon since I have had twins. I will let you all know! :) I am thinking of weaning my twins though because the thought of nursing 3 is scary to me.

don't you just love midwives? my favorite one moved away, but there is still one left, who i also love!

do you feel ready to wean? many women choose to wean when pg, as it can get uncomfortable, not to mention exhausting. there is also the possibility that the babies will self-wean during a mother's pg, as it can affect milk supply and/or the taste of the milk. one option is to limit the nursings to specific times a day. my LLL leader is pg right now and has only been nursing her dd at nap and bedtime. just throwing some random thoughts out there.

i see your twins are the same age as mine! my boys were born 10/23/05! cool!

I don't feel ready to wean and they definitely aren't ready to wean. They still ask for it several times a day. I don't allow them to nurse in public anymore but when we are at home they still nurse quite a bit. I am feel as exhausted as I did when I was pg with them! I haven't really decided what to do yet. I have to think about it some more.

That is very cool about them being the same age. B)

may i make a friendly suggestion? talking to an LLL leader may help you sort out your thoughts on weaning, nursing while pg, tandem (triple??) nursing and other concerns you may be having. she may have ideas or help you come up with ideas that you haven't thought of yet, or may even know of someone who has been in your situation before. you just never know, and what have you got to lose, right? if you pm me with your location, i can help put you in contact with someone, if you want.

man, you must be so far beyond tired! i remember that heaviness of exhaustion, and that was without having 2 toddlers to take care of! hats off to you mama! :bow2:

Thanks. I have a friend here who is a LLL consultant. I will talk to her and see what she says. Of the 2 leader I have met I believe I think I may be one of the first they have dealt with that has twins but I will verify. Thanks again for the suggestions. :)

Thanks to everyone who has congratulated me too! :D
