Has anyone had one of their ribs pop out of place?

I have had constant terrible rib pain for the last two months-my husband, who does rehabilitation, examined me and discovered one of my ribs is actually dislocated. I am uncomfortable all the time-sitting, standing, laying down-nothing helps...and I still have at least 8 weeks to go. Has anyone had something similar, what can I do?
This is what I do now-ice packs, baths, tylenol, and change positions constantly.
    Help me!
I do see my OB tomorrow, but I fear the answer will be...this is normal and there is nothing you can do.

I'm sorry I don't know of anything else you can do.
I am afraid you are right in that the only solution is going to be delivery and even then it may hurt for awhile after that.
    I feel your pain...I really do. :hug99:

Do you know of a good chiropractor? Mine adjusts for ribs out of place all the time, and I have continued to see her throughout my pregnancy. They even have a special adjusting table with a breakaway belly area to accomodate my belly!
    Good luck!

I am right there with you....I have problems on my right side of my rib cage, front and back...last week they did prescribe darvacet for the pain, I have only taken it one time. I was able to get some rest when I took it. But it really does hurt. I hope you find some reliefe. Good luck with that.

Oh wow, I've never had that happen, but it certainly sounds painful. I hope you can manage through.

Hi, I feel for you. I hope your OB/gyn gives you the green light to see a chiropractor and get that fixed!

Oh you poor thing. Never had that happen, so no clue. Hope your OB can help you out.
