    Hi there
I am 24 weeks and am regularly reminded by people at work how huge I am, people comment that I surely cant last much longer!
I had planned to finish at 32-33 weeks however am considering finishing earlier purely because I am sick of feeling like a freak and having people stare!
Am I being way too self conscious and should get thicker skin?
    ps I love my belly

yes its a big sign saying .. they know what youve done..
    but who hasnt..

i quit because i was exausted...

with my first son.. i got on the job and quit 12 days later and had him..
they kept me because they hired me pregnant.. but 12 days..

do what you want not because others think you look like your gonna go:)

Your doctor may be willing to take you out of work at this point. If not and you are finacially able, I say why not? You shouldn't be pushing yourself past when you are able.

I guess if you can afford to be out of work that early...do you plan on going back? If so, you need to research your leave policy closely before making that decision.

If you are still feeling well, I would say let your "freak flag" fly free and show them all! But if you are feeling bad, extremely tired, sore, etc...then I would definitely discuss with your doctor about going out soon.

I'm leaving work early just because I'm tired of working and want to start getting ready for the babies! I think my doctor would keep me working right up until my due date and I'm going to stay home with the babies after they are born, so I've decided to make August my last month of work!

I know how you feel but I do not plan on leaving until I feel I can not physically do it anymore. I really do not think I will make it past 28weeks. Just this week I am feeling worst then in the past. I am down to 30hours a week and after 28weeks I think I will be done!

Im already bigger then i was at 9 mnths with hayden and destiny....and well, its not gonna take long to get even bigger im sure. People keep looking at me and asking what im having when i kindly say im too early to find out i get really weird glances.

Lol plus i wonder if theres going to be room for me to move around there! I already feel like i should have the beepers and a wide load sign!!!

I am a SAHM but I can still relate to some extent....sometimes I just want to stay at home and avoid people altogether. Silly I know but I get tired of getting looked at weird when people ask me how far along I am and I tell them. I also think sometimes it is worse with people I know because they are always asking how I am etc....I know I sound mean but sometimes I just want to be left alone.

When I am home DH, DD and I can just enjoy being pg and watching them move. Enjoy each other and just be. But when out places....man the questions are endless!

Hang in there....we will have beautiful bundles of joy to show for it all.

I felt like that too! I wound up leaving work at 29w because I got put on modified bedrest (I had planned to work at least part time until 34w), but I was soooo sick of people staring at me and making comments. They were usually friendly comments (everyone knew I had been TTC for a long time and they were all excited for me), but I'm very self-conscious by nature, and I just hated how everyone's eyes followed me everytime I walked down the hall.

Being out in public was better -- for some reason I didn't mind the comments from strangers. It just felt like an invasion of privacy coming from my coworkers, because there's so little privacy in an office setting anyway.

yes... I have to say that everyone means well.... I just re-read that and feel like a butt. I think I am overly sensitive today too though!

But I know that my friends and acquantences(sp) mean well it just gets tiring sometimes answering questions and enduring the stares.

People think I look huge because I have gained 32 lbs. I was 114 lbs when I got pregnant so they are used to me tiny. I just started back at work in January and in March I was able to say hey guess what and in June I got to say it gets better. But they are all very helpful. I am exhausted but if I needed to I could lay down for a few minutes. My doctor had said that I should lay on my left side 2-3 times per day for a half hour and in the begginning I said who does that. Now it sounds really good

I feel exactly the same as you! People at work keep commenting about how big I am and I'm sick of it! I can't even imagine the ciircus-freak proportions I will be in a few weeks and what they'll have to say then.... I see patients in a clinic for children with developmental disabilites -- some new patients and some that know me already. EVERYONE asks when I'm due, etc., and I am sooooooo tired of having to explain it all after the raised eyebrows when I tell them "october." I am planning to work until I physically can't anymore, but I am really sick of the comments, too.... Just what every woman loves to hear -- that she is enormous!
