Hardness on the tummy

My friend (twin mum to be) is due in end of March. Recently when she lies down, she feels the side on which she lies down to be hard (tummy part). When she turns to the other side, the hardness also shifts to the other side.

Me being an experienced twin mum she was asking whether I had any such issue and whether she should be worried about.

I didn't have any such problem during my pregnancy. Did any of you faced this problem? Please give your suggestions for my friend.

i always felt that it was the babies shifting due to gravity. at least that's what i think, because i'll feel their body parts, but my whole stomach is not tight, hence my thinking it is not a BH contraction.

 

It's probably just the weight of the babies shifting. However, if she continues to be concerned she should bring it up at her next appt.

 

Another vote for babies shifting. Sometimes if I touch the "lump" or hardness, it will move or dart quickly away.
