I am a day away from being 23 weeks, and yesterday while at the movie, I had a hard time sitting back in the chair because it was hard to breathe. Today while driving to work I expereienced the same thing. Only way that is comfortable to sit and allows me to breathe is sitting way back and slouched or on the edge of my seat letting my belly hang, is this normal?

I have had this a few times also and the dr. told me it was how the babys position was and if you could try to move them by laying or sitting a different way then it might help. It gets better. The first time it happened I felt better after 2 days or so. I still get this from time to time since the babies are getting bigger. Hope you get some relief soon.

I remember feeling like that too . Then when they both went head down/side by side it got better. Then it got worse again as I got a lot bigger. I remember being 30 weeks laying down and if I got up to walk to the bathroom, I'd be so winded.

    *hugs*

I had the same thing with my son and with this pregnancy. My doctor got really nervous when I described my symptoms to her and she sent me to the hospital where I had to get a EKG/ECO. Everything came back normal. I think that in both situations the babies where just lying in a weird position.

Hang in there and let us know how everything turns out!

I had the same thing & hated that feeling :hug99:
I cant remember if I just got used to it towards the end or if it went away??
Resting/laying down really helped A LOT (and of course drinking lots of water....)
    Feel better!!!

Luckily I have a longer torso, but still, I did experience this breathing problem by 32 weeks off and on! It's normal, I think!

It's normal... I started having the same problem around 24 weeks. It only got worse for me(sorry..I hate to have to tell you that.)
If you are scared I would talk with my doc and let him know what is going on.
    Take Care & Good Luck!

I totally had that problem. If the babies shift positions it will help. At least right now. Once i was full term, it got alot worse.

:hug99: It's definately a normal and uncomfortable thing. I, too, had to deal with during my pregnancy. I hope that you get time to lay down in the position that helps you out the most. Take care momma. :hug99:
