Hard spots in belly?

Okay ladies--I'm really confused now. I wrote last week about feeling hardness around my lower abdomen--I did go to my OB--checked everything--said probably BH and didn't say too much else. I'm still feeling the hardness stretch all the way across--but only sometimes...not that often. However, what I do feel is parts of the lower belly (right about the hairline -sorry tmi) get hard. Usually my right lower side--and just a very small part--I feel like it must be the baby, but talking to a friend--who had a singleton--she doesn't remember that ever happening to her this early (I'm 16 weeks). So please tell me---have you all felt that---at around this time, parts of your belly (or lower abdomen) get hard? I agree that the hardness all the way across may be BH, but is the very small parts that get hard also BH? Or did you all feel this and assume it was the baby too? I really did think it must be one of the babies, but now thinking may not be. Sorry for the rambling....thanks!

 

ok, might sound silly, but, do you have to pee? when im pregnant i usually dont feel the need to pee, instead i get a cramp right there and even some harding. try it?

BH is when the whole belly gets tight...not just parts. If you are really thin then I really think it is just the baby moving itself around and poking about. I'm am not all that thin lol, but one of my twin, the girl, is always pushing herself out, my belly looks lopsided and it can and does feel like a BH, until i pull up my shirt and see how out of shape the belly is.

I was a paranoid wreck my entire pregnancy, so scared of going into preterm labor. I questioned anything and everything. I think I had what you are describing, though I can't remember at what point in my pregnancy it started. After talking to other people and my OB I came to the conclusion it was the babies moving and poking around. I was still always uneasy about any feelings like that and I'm still not sure I could tell the difference between BH contractions and other random baby movements. But once I was in labor it was clear the contractions were consistent and easy to time. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

 

i'm 20w now and I've had similar sensations since about 16w, I always assume it was a baby rolling over or pushing/kicking. It always ressolves pretty quickly... you're probably fine, but ask your doc about it next appt to make sure it's nothing to worry about.

 

i would think its your legamints getting ready to support everything, your legaments have to strech out in order to do it, i have had it in all 3 of my pregs and it was very really with my twins,
