Lily & Grace...I hope you had a great day!

 

Wow, it has been a crazy year! And an especially busy and fun birthday weekend. We had their party on Sunday 3/25, then on their actual birthday on Monday 3/26, we went to get pictures taken, out to lunch, then to their cousin's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. This was their first trip to Chuck E Cheese and they really liked it.

When they were born at 31 weeks at just 3lb4oz and 3lb8oz, I was so scared, but also a little thankful that we had managed to get at least that far since the doctors were convinced they were coming back at 24 weeks. We survived a pretty uneventful 5 and 6 week NICU stay and we were just so, so happy to have them home. It really was not as crazy as I thought it would be, I guess in part because they NICU got them on a schedule and they are great sleepers.

Today they are both close to 19 pounds and doing very well. Lily has been walking for a month, but this past weekend she started walking a lot. She's always walking all over the place - it's so cute! She just had to show off her stuff for all her birthday guests I guess.

I still can't believe my little ones are one! I love the little people with cute personalities that they are becoming.
