Happy Birthday to my babies!

My little munchkins turn 1 today! I cannot believe it is here already. It's amazing how much we've been through and what a crazy year this was all around. A year ago today I was barely able to move and breathe and couldn't wait to get them out. It was the most amazing thing in the world meeting them for the first time. It was love at first sight (not that I didn't love them already ). There were moments I didn't know if we'd ever get to the point we are now. I spent at least the first 3 months sleeping on the couch sitting up because they wouldn't sleep anywhere but on me on the nursing pillow. I thought I would NEVER get them in their bed or sleeping on a schedule. It is amazing how far we have come. I barely remember those days but vow not to do that again with our new little boy coming in the spring!! LOL Now they sleep 11-12 hours at night and take 2 good naps a day. AND they LOVE their beds. So for all of you who are going through the first few months and wondering if they'll ever sleep in their bed - they do. And it's wonderful. I didn't believe anyone that we'd get to this point. Their little laughs and big hugs are so amazing. I love watching them play with each other and chattering away. I cannot wait to see what the 2nd year will bring. So much has changed in our life as well. We could never have imagined we'd be where we are right now a year ago. My husband is in Basic for the Army right now (so he's missing their 1st birthday ) and I'm living with his parents until we move in February. We also got a great big surprise this summer and found out that I was pregnant (we did IVF for the twins so it really was a huge shock). That has sunk in and we are very excited. The 2nd year will definitely be busy but bring it on! I got through the first year with twins. I feel like I can do anything. Here's the link to their 1 year pictures:

My husband has some real winners in his Platoon so they haven't been allowed barely any phone time. I was so happy to hear from him this morning and he was able to tell Walker and Jocelyn Happy Birthday. Really starting Thanksgiving off well. So many things to be thankful for!! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

That's great Lisa!! See you in second year. Did I see that your kids are STTN? LOL! Mine didn't do it until 13 months; I thought your kids were gonna give mine a run for their money.
