At night, my hands will fall asleep and sometimes they can also hurt. I had this with my first dd also, it hurt enough to wake me up and cause me to cry sometimes. Anybody else ever had this and what did you do to relieve the pain? My hands also get tingly when I am getting ready in the morning......

The only time I have trouble with my hands getting numb and tingly is when I've had to be on my back to be monitored by the docs. (That has to do with that main artery getting pressed. . . ) Are you sleeping on your side or more on your back? Or could it be a problem with blood pressure?

I hope this symptom goes away for you!

My hands have been tingly for about 2 1/2 weeks now. I am 33.3 weeks pregnant with twin girls. Back when it first started, the pain would wake me up at night and sometimes I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep. My Dr. told me it was because there are nerves in your wrist, and swelling around the nerve causes your hands to go numb/tingly. I've been wearing carpal tunnel braces on both of my hands at night, and they work great. I haven't had any problems sleeping at night since I've been wearing the braces. However, I usually don't wear them during the day and my hands are tingly pretty much from the time I take the braces off to the time I put them back on! Just another perk of being pregnant =)
I hope things get better for you, and I highly suggest the braces! They aren't that expensive- you can probably find them at a Walgreens or Walmart. Good luck!

I still have a brace from my first pregnancy so maybe I will try that at night and see if it helps! Thanks for the suggestion!

My hands have always done this, but I have found my left arm and wrist have been much worse since I got pregnant- so I try to sleep on my right side and that helps some.

My wrists have been killing me and only gotten worse. I wore a brace but did not seem to help. I am just coping with the pain. As for my hands, my right hand is often numb.

I hope your pain isnt too bad. I think it is normal though. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

When I was pregnant with my boys I could not feel anything in my hands, they were completely numb. I couldn't feel my dog when I would pet him, I couldn't rub my own feet, I couldn't do anything. Happy to say that once they were born it was so much better and now the only time I have problems is when I have been holding Molly a lot and then gardening. Once she is out of the hold me stage, which I am hoping is a long way away, it will be better. The braces they have for carpal tunnel are great.

My twins are over 2 years old and I still have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I thought it would go away by now. A brace will alleviate the discomfort.
