I'd like inexpensive idea's for my B/G Twins. I've been in search of Pebbles and Bambam costumes to wear BUT I'm not having any luck. I don't know if I'm creative enough to make them.

Anyone have an alternative Matching that I could possibly do easy at home and quick.

Also what are your Twins goin as?

Last year my mom and I made clown outfits which were really easy to make and fairly cheap. We made one side of the costume match each girl and the other side was different then the collars matched the other girl's outfit..see my avi.

This year it's Elina (A) and Mariposa (S) Barbie fairies..I let them pick their own costumes.

Mine are going to be Tinkerbell and Captain Hook this year. I'm not even remotely crafty or creative, so making costumes would definitely not be my thing!

My kids were actually pebbles and bam bam last year. I ordered the costumes online somewhere ... I can't remember where ... unfortunately, I gave them away, or I would offer them to you!

We have done peapods; Monkey See, Monkey Do; Frankenstein and a witch; Pinkalicious and Batman; and this year a skeleton zombie and a rainbow!

Piper's going as a panda bear and Cricket will be a puppy dog/pirate/alligator/panda bear/pilot/tiger. She's having a bit of trouble making up her mind, so I haven't bought her costume yet. I'm creatively challenged so I opted for inexpensive store bought costumes.

Meara is going as a Zebra and Ana is going as a Dragon. They had NO interest in matching this year :)

I let my kids pick what they want to be for Halloween, so we are having a witch and Buzz Lightyear. :good:

L&M are going to be salt & pepper shakers. I am making the as we speak. I just got chef's hats and painted them silver and Lauren will wear white with a black felt S and Mattie will wear black with a white felt P. In my mind it is adorable.

We ended up buying costumes from Walmart. At $14 and $17 ea, I can't really make them much cheaper than that. This year, I let them pick theirs out totally on their own for the 1st time; so they're not matchy at all.

DS picked Spiderman. DD wanted princess, but there was nothing in her size so she settled for Pirate. And I have to admit, I spent just as much on her stuffed parrot as the costume! But it's her new "baby" and it hasn't left her side since I got it.

    In the past, we've done:

    1st year: 2 peas in a pod

    2nd year: Princess & Dragon

3rd year: Little Red Riding Hood & the Woodsman

Mine are going in hand-me-down store bought costumes, a lion and a dragon (hopefully!!). I have seen lots of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia costumes for children, but I would imagine that those are both easy to make?

My son is going as a frog this year and my daughter as a ladybug. I asked them what they wanted to be and this is what they said. I purchased both costumes and they each cost about $16, so I didn't figure I could make anything for much cheaper than that. Before they declared what they wanted to be, I was going to have them be M&M's. I read the idea on line (Google search on homemade M&M costume) and it seemed really simple. An oversized sweatshirt in the color of your choice, white sweats/tights a felt M attached to the sweatshirt.

I think they are going to be Ariel and Cinderella, same as last year. Caleb is going to be a skeleton.

Mine picked their own costumes - Ava will be an elephant (which she tells her daddy that she wants a real elephant for her house almost daily so it wasn't surprising she picked that costume!) and Addison picked a kangaroo costume - we went to the zoo a couple of times during the summer and the kangaroos run free - they were Addison's favorites! I was just surprised that the store we were in had those two costumes! and they are ADORABLE!

we got them at Marshall's for 16.99 each - they are full body costumes that are very nice.

I am not a crafty mom, so no made a home outfits or cute ideas :headbang: . My kids are in to princess stuff, so I asked what they wanted and ordered it from Disney. We have Jasmine and Alice in Wonderland for P and P. Chloe is Tinkerbell. The outfits just arrived Thursday and are a huge hit with the kids. Last year P and P were different princesses and Chloe was a duck (not the outfit we bought).

Mine also picked their own costumes this year. Liberty is going to be a monkey, and Leighanna is going to be a kitty. Fits their personalities perfectly!

Mine are using hand-me-downs from big sis, so Kevan is going to be a leopard, and Karina is going to be a pumpkin. I love getting my money's worth out of costumes!

Nadia got a new costume -- she'll be a fairy. She couldn't make up her mind either, and was insisting on some hoochie-looking bumblebee that she saw in a catalog. So, I pulled parental rank, and decided for her. Thankfully she likes this one. :)

ally is going to be a ballerina in a hand-me-down from her cousin. bear is going to be a mideival knight from a playset my mom got him. the pieces are made out of thick craft foam material and are a sword, shield, and a chest armor with straps. i'll have him in brown knit pants and t-shirt underneath.

i had the idea of mike wyzowski and boo from monsters inc in which case i would only purchase the mike costume and put ally in pigtails, a big pink tee and purple shorts--but i decided not to spend this year and go with what we have.

we are going to be in arizona on nov. 1st so i hop to take advantage of price reductions and purchase next year's costumes then...i'm not a big spender on costumes either, but i always fantasize about them and then go cheap LOL

last year they were a baseball player (jersey, hat and glove) and snow white (also a hand-me-down)

the year before they were pumpkins (pumpkin sleepers and knit hats)
