I have no idea what to dress the girls as for halloween this year. I don't think the girls would do well with any kind of wings on their backs.(ladybug, bumble bee, fairy etc.) I'm 99.9% sure I want to dress them the same (unless I get a really good idea)
It's kinda funny bc I already know what I want them to be next year, dorothy from oz.(I want their hair long enough for pigtails)
I know not all of you get that into halloween, but it's always been a big deal for me. I just LOVE dressing up as something/someone else. I guess I'm a little dorky!

Nope, not dorky at all. All 3 of my kids will dress up. My oldest DD is going to be Sharpay from High School Musical and Trevor is going to be Shrek and Emilie Princess Fiona. I wanted them to have some type of mathcing costume as well, I figure I better do it while they are little and still let me do that. :)

Mine are going to be Elmo and Cookie Monster this year. Last year they were matching pumpkins.

My 3 are going to be little witches. My mom is making their costumes.
When my oldest was 18mo, she was a UGA cheerleader & I was planning on picking up a Georgia Tech (my dh is an alum- we are a house divided;)) cheer outfit so the girls could be oposing teams.
    Have fun!

I have b/g twins and they are going to be Dorthy and The Lion from the Wizard of Oz. My mom even found the little picnic basket with Toto in it....She is going to look like such a doll. I love Halloween too!

    Have a great day,

we are getting together with my girlfriend and her dd who is 4 months older than the girls. we are going with a bug/insect theme. Her dd is going to be a bumblebee, Lorien is going to be a ladybug and Arwen is going to be a butterfly. you'd be surprised...I've looked at a couple of the costumes in stores with wings and they are surprisingly soft and flexible and appear to be comfortable enough for them to sit in a stroller with so I'm not too worried about that.

We found matching pink poodle costumes at Once Upon A Child and I' going to get a poodle skirt to wear to go with them. The costumes are so cute

Not completely relevant to 1-5, but in FY there is a sticky at the top loaded with members' ideas for Halloween costumes.

I was originally thinking a pig and a monkey, because they love those animals and when they do the animal sounds they are hilarious. But then I started worrying that if one of them is a pink pig and the other a brown monkey, I'll get the "oh, a boy and a girl!" thing again, and that irritates me. So now I am overthinking it massively because I don't want them to be exactly the same but I still want them to be clearly girlie. I saw a flamingo costume, which covers the pink part. But they don't "do" a flamingo so maybe not so fun.

I need professional help. And I am not talking about a costume designer.

I LOVE Halloween and dressing my girls up in costumes. They are three years old, so I know that this will be the last year that I'll be able to pick their costumes. So, this is what I've narrowed it down to:

-Witch costumes ( I like to confuse people! Whitch witch is whitch?)
    - Angle and devil- Just because
    - Partners in crime costume- dress them like jail birds, fake handcuffs, mug shots taped to shirts- me wearing a police hat/uniform- I think I might go for this, but have to make sure I can get the costume pulled together/

In the past we have been:
-Red Sox baseball players (Sox won the World Series this year!!!)
    - Cat and Mouse from Baby Einstein DVD
    - Humpty Dumpty and Mother Goose (Humpty won first place in a costume contest)

    Whatever you decide, have fun!!!!

I have no idea what we will be this year either...but we were a bumble bee and lady bug last year and it was precious...the wings were fine. No problems getting them in their carseats. :) Good luck deciding...I can't wait to pick out costumes for my girls either :)

Lily will be a Lily-bug (ladybug- doesn't seem to really be much in the way of wings so it shouldn't be a problem) and Jack will be a monkey. I got them the cutest costumes at Target. :) Last year, they were a pumpkin and a peanut (my names for them in utero).
