Any cute ideas for halloween costumes yet? I was thinking two peas in a pod, or Dr. Suess Thing 1 & Thing 2. Any other cool ideas??? I love halloween!

    Jess

By the way, the girls will be 8 1/2 mos.

OK, I am really bad, but I already have them for the babies. I got an email from baby style and just had to have them. It's most likely the babies' first and last Halloween (for quite some while) since we'll be leaving the States at the end of this year (I think, don't hope so, but it's very well possible).

So this is what I got ... pink & blue ...

I have been thinking about this too and my girls are not even born yet!! Halloween is very big for us. I was thinking the pea pods and DH wants Thing 1 and Thing 2 (that is what he called them before we had names for them). I haven't started looking yet but will in September. Oh it will be fun!

My two were little chickies hatching out of eggs last year, and my 3yo was a chicken.....who came first, the chicken or the egg....not many people got it, but they sure were cute! It's really hard in FL because it is always soooo hot on Halloween! I haven't thought that far ahead yet!

i started looking earlier this week : )

I just typed in "newborn halloween costume" into yahoo and found a bunch of great websites. I call the boys "my little monkeys' so i'm thinking of getting them monkey costumes - I just don't want them to be too hot b/c it's still pretty warm here in FL in October.

So what are you all going to do with your adorable, dressed up kiddos? We are excited to get them into costume, but we have no idea what to do with them after that. We don't have much family nearby, none of our friends in town have kids, and it seems a bit odd to take them trick-or-treating when the candy will clearly just be for us. Any ideas of where we can show them off?

My girlfriend has twin girls and she had one as a bee and one as a lady bug. Those were some cute pictures!

My guys were a pumpkin and a sweet pea and John was Thomas pulling them in a cart.

This year, J is going to be Thomas again :)sigh:) and we are making them Annie and Clarabel costumes.

Thanks! Had to have them, only $2 shipping, so a no-brainer for me! :p !

We're going trick or treating with my oldest and we'll usually go to one of the local park district events too. Maybe I'll organize something with/for a few friends too.

    Marie,

They carry the onesies in the TS store.

I have seen them other places, I am not sure where though.

My two were pumpkins last year:

    http://s77.photobucket.com/albums/j56/jazn...2230resized.jpg

I was going to take them to DH's work to show them off on Halloween, but they both had bad colds, so we never did go. But I did take their pic and make Halloween cards we sent to family.

This year I really, really want to dress them as Elmo and Cookie Monster. But the Elmo costume is expensive! So unless I come across it cheap or on a good sale, they'll probably end up being puppies (they love puppies).

We had just about the cutest costumes in THE WORLD!!!

DH is a huge Star Wars fan and I bought them when they were newborns and held onto them for last year. They were about 14 months old and the cutest Chewbacca and Princess Leia EVER! They were fun costumes. We went to a costume party with them and let them trick-or-treat and 3 of our neighbor friends houses.

I SO want to do Luke and Leia for halloween! we joked around alot that that was what we were going to name them.

if you google thing 1 and thing 2 costumes you might find some, the best one was a homemade costume a lady posted on a website she just bought red footy pjs and found blue yarn wigs on ebay...

we go show off our costumes at the mall, lots of malls do trick or treat b/c it is "safe" and hee in IN the weather is usually too cold or rainy in by the end of Oct.
our downtown also usually hosts one the friday before halloween

I was just thinking the same thing today and posted a question about where to get costumes through my local mom's club email. Here are some of the suggestions of places to look:

    Children’s Place
    Sensational Beginnings
    One Step Ahead
    Babycenter.com
    Lillian Vernon
    Disney
    GAP
    Old Navy

I fell in love with the Minnie costume on the Disney Store website. And to top it off, I have a Minnie costume too, so we can all match. I know, I know.

The little girls I babysit for did that two years ago.
    Last year they were princesses.

Dunno yet what they will do this year.

My husband is an Air Force pilot and my mom has been collecting flying outfits/costumes since we got married (4 years ago)! We may not be doing anything this year (they will be no more than a month old) but we'll definitely be doing AF flight suits sometime in the next year or two.

Thanks everyone for sharing pictures of your cute costume ideas. I love seeing their pictures!

My 3-year-old is insisting that our whole family dress up as the Backyardigans this year. Not only that, but she wants to be Pablo, I have to be Tyrone, Daddy has to be Uniqua, and the babies get to be Austin and Tasha. LOL!!!

No clue where I'm going to find Backyardigans costumes for 4-month-old babies, not to mention adults.

I love the Luke and Leia idea, but they're a little young this year -- next year, though, they'll be walking, and it will be perfect if I can get cute costumes!

I just saw backyardigan costumes today in a catalog - ok - just went and got it from the other room and the smallest size is a 2. The magazine is lillianvernon.com and the catalog is lilly's kids and they have a ton of kids and some infant costumes.

Since I have twin nephews that are 3 1/2 and a 3 yr old son, we have several used costumes to choose from. I am thinking Tigger and Pooh maybe. Our DH has been Pooh or Tigger the last 2 years and he still loves him:) This year he maybe spiderman if his costume still fits.

Also, BRU on line has the thing1 and thing2 clothes (I think shirts and onesies).

Last year we put our girls in their costumes to go pumpkin picking. It was so cute and it gave us an opportunity to "show them off" in their costumes since we knew they were too young to go trick or treating.

These costumes made me throw my head back and laugh so loud and nearly wake my two from their naps!! Fantastic! I would love to do these, but since I have two girls, I know whoever gets to be "Chewie" will hate me when they're older!

    Such a great idea....

And my dh is from Ireland...I'm 1/2 Irish, so I guess they're 3/4 Irish babies?

    Great pic!
