Half day preschool dilemma

I am wanting to start my guys in a half day (9-1) preschool two days/week in either June or September. My problem is regarding naps. They say they will do naptime based on whatever schedule you want them to. I imagine they will be on one nap and I can't work out what nap schedule I want to try and push for. Mine wake up early, around 6:30 and go to bed around 7. A naptime around noon seems like it would make most sense. But on preschool days, if they went down at noon, they would only get an hour nap. On the other hand, if I have them wait until they get home, it would be around 1:30 before they could nap and that seems like a long time to be awake. I was thinking maybe do a 12 or 12:30 during the 5 days they are not at preschool and hope they keep them busy enough there to wait until 1:30 for a nap on those 2 days. Does that sound doable?? I think I put way too much thought in this. I'm obviously not the only one with a child doing this or they wouldn't have a program, but I'm just struggling trying to work out how naps will work. Sorry for making this so complicated and I appreciate all of your help and advice.

My kids all did 9-1 preschool, and I found the easiest thing to do was to push back wake-up/bedtime if at all possible, so you can just do a later nap.

So, mine would wake at 8am, nap from 2:30pm until whenever (they needed time to decompress when they got home, get a snack, poop, whatever!), and then go to bed at 8pm or later. But, they all went/go to a preschool that doesn't do naps, so we didn't have that option.

My bf runs a pre-school and a very big reason I haven't put them in is because of their nap. They take great naps and I really don't want to mess with that. So I'm waiting till they are 3 so I can hopefully push out the nap a bit further. GL

I think on preschool days you could try to push it out a little and see how it works out, how your kids will handle a later nap on those days. It's very possible that preschool will keep them too busy to worry about a nap while they are there and they will pass out for you at 1:30 on those days. Good luck with your decision!
