Hair Loss

    Hi!

    I'm 27 weeks pregnant and losing hair by the hand full everyday. My Dr says not to worry, but I'm worried! I had always heard that you don't lose any hair while pregnant, and then after delivery you lose all kinds of hair. Does this mean I will lose hair after the babies come also!

    Has this happened to anyone else??

    OMGosh I lost TONS of hair while pregnant with my twins. I have really thick hair to begin with so I wasn't worried about it. But I constantly had hair falling out and all over my shirt, so you are not alone. I did not lose any hair once they were born though.

    I never lost hair whiel pregnant with my son but lost all kinds of hair after givign birht ot him. It went on for about 6 months i think.

    Have they checked your thyroid? Just a thought, sometimes hair loss can be a sign of low thyroid levels. I alternate between losing hair and growing hair, it kinda evens itself out! :lol:

    I didn't lose hair with the twins but I did in the first trimester with this pregnancy. It has become better.... I wonder if it is the baby pulling nutrients from the mother.....
