Hair elastics?

I bought some hair elastics for the girls since their hair is constantly in their eyes and driving me crazy. I can't make myself cut it though. Anyway, they came as a package of 400! Are they disposable and intended only for one use?

 

What kind did you get? I usually get the goody ones that are coated so they don't tangle in their hair when I take them out. I know that we do lose some at the sitter's house, but I think it would take a LONG time to lose 400!

Wow that is a big bag. Around here there are like 25 or 50 in a bag. I agree with the pp that they must me meant for one use.

Makes me wish Lily had hair. She is just starting to get some in the back, I call it the Frank Barone hair cut from Everybody Loves Raymond. My mom says I didn't get my hair til I was 18 or 24 months old. I almost get jealous of baby girls with hair .

Yep.

 

One use here and then throw them out. I've started using them in my hair too as I find they hold fine hair a bit better than regular bands for hair. I had to search for the multicolor pack and bought a clear pack that had 100s in it too. We're working our way through them!

(I can't bring myself to cut Clara's hair either.)

 

Yes, I throw out the little rubber band one's after each use, they get stretched out and don't work good the next time. The fabric one's I use a few times, but even after a few uses I throw them out because they get too stretched out also.

 

Wow, that is a seriously big bag! I don't know what I'd do with 400 of them, they really must be disposable. I use hair clips for my daughter with no slip grip attached, as her hair has the same problem. Easier for me though since I make them so they're always on hand.

 

I use the little rubber band ones only once, maybe twice if I get them out in once piece. Sometimes I will just cut them out if the pony tail is tight (used for elaborate styles)
I also use the 'fabric' ones that are made to prevent breaking and pulling of hair. Those I use more than once, till they get lost or too stretched out. As pp said, I think these usually come in packs of 25 or so, less or more depending on how big/small they are and what brand makes them.

 

I use the little rubber bands ones for my girls & they only work for 1 time, MAYBE 2....but after that, they get too stretched out & they break. Sometimes the ones I get break WHILE pulling them out of their hair! OUCH.

 

I use the tiny plastic type ones and throw them out after 1 time also.

 

I usually use those just once. A lot of times they break when I'm getting them out, but when they don't they are usually too stretched out to use again.

 

i use the ouchless ones and they come pack of 50 i wish i kept some in my bag as soon as you take them out they snap in half so 400 should do well :lol: i use them to make tiny pony tails and clip a barrette i make over top so its more secure and cute

 

I have the multicolored pack as well & mostly I end up loosing them after one use because they have pulled them out & thrown them somewhere!! :lol:
