I was freaked out the other night when I started to bleed. I thought for sure I was loosing one or two of the twins. I've never bled in any of my pregnancies before! I had an U/S yesterday to make sure all was well. I was so afraid to look at the screen, but they were both doing wonderful! I was soooo relieved! They said the bleeding was most likely due to where the placenta implated or something like that. I just have to take it easy for the next couple of days.

Here's the pics of my twins!

I also have bled this pregnancy, and have been pregnant twice before with no bleeding EVER. I bled at about 12 weeks, and then again at 16 weeks. Now I've bled again twice in the last four days. I think I bleed after DTD...we double our blood volume with a twin pregnancy (so I've heard) and the capillaries in our cervix are sensitive. Also, I, too, have a low-lying placenta (another suspected cause).

Glad your babies checked out happy and healthy! And those are some great pics!

I know how scary bleeding can be when you are pregnant...same thing happened to me this pregnancy at 14 weeks. Same thing as you...it was just a function of my low lying placenta. After bleeding on and off for a few weeks it went away completely as my uterus stretched and pulled the placenta away from my cervix!

I bled off and on for the first 16 weeks. They never could find a "reason"- but everything always looked fine during the ultrasounds. I haven't bled since then, and am scheduled for a C-section in two weeks. Best of luck to you- the pics are great!

Thanks everyone. I guess it's a lot more common to bleed with twin pregnancies than I thought.

The SAME thing happened to me!!!! It happened around 13 weeks. I thought the same things too! And they told
me the SAME thing. But, the OB said I had complete placenta previa. I was told to take it easy, watch the lifting and
no sex. My poor hubby. I am almost 22 weeks and we haven't since :(, because now they are watching me closely with
my cervix. Just be careful. I had brown spotting for about 2 weeks after too. They said as long as it's not fresh blood.
It may be from the placenta moving? Mine was low lying. The specialist never said I had the placenta previa, but
the OB said I did. The peri gives the most accurate information. Sometimes I feel like the OB is guessing... my
peri does an ultrasound on every visit. I get nervous on every visit, but I feel the information is much more solid.
    Take it easy...
