Had our big U/S yesterday!

Well, the babies look great, measuring 2 days apart. I consulted with a Peri and thought with the spotting/bleeding I have been having that I would be seen by them, but they say there is no point in me going back to them, because everything looks great. I asked about the spotting/bleeding and they said they sometimes just don't know. I noticed after the u/s that I bled a lot more, but my DH says that is because they were so rough on me for the u/s which they kinda were! I no longer have a low-lying placenta, and one is anterior and one is posterior. AND--WE ARE HAVING A BOY AND A GIRL! That is what I expected the entire time, and I am so excited to be able to start shopping for them!! Granted, with all the nephews I have, I have lots of boy hand me downs, but I have NO girls to get the hand me downs from! I am so relieved that they are fine. They just looked perfect!!

Glad everything went well! I'm sure it is scary with the spotting, but just keep an eye and call the doc if you get concerned. Congrats on your b/g twins!!!!

Congrats on finding out the genders. Sorry to hear about the bleeding but glad to hear the babies are doing well!

 

I've had some bleeding in all my pgs. I just encourage you that if it ever does pick up more than just spotting that you get aggressive about having the doctors check you out....either with u/s at the regular ob/gyn or at the peri... Hopefully you'll be having regular growth scans regardless... Sometimes if the placenta or placentas are bleeding it can cause clotting back there which can cause IUGR...so it's important to monitor the placenta function closely. With just spotting it could very well just be your cervix being irritated all the time...or even little veins up there that rupture from time to time....you can actuall get varicose veins in there which pop... both those things shouldn't cause much more than spotting.

I am having b/g twins also. We are so excited. I have went a little overboard on the girl clothes though b/c they are so cute.
