Had my 13 week ultrasound and all is well with babies Soooo relieved that both babies were still there and heartbeats were 150 & 156. The babies are di/di and she said she can not tell if identical or faternal still (each have a placenta) but is not sure if the egg split within a few days of fertilization. I googled it and it said there's a 70% chance faternal and 30% identical. Babies are lying one on top of another. Baby B is WAY more active of the two (reminds me of my DD when she was in utero!) We did the IPS testing as well and she said so all looks well. Will have to get official results from my OB.
Congrats on a great ultrasound!! Hope you were able to have all your questions answered. ...My Baby B is also the more active of the two...like a breaching whale!
lol - I think opposite and that's why I wonder if baby B is a boy... my DD was soooo active and I've heard some women say boys are a bit 'lazier' in utero... LOL !!!! So we'll see!!! 5 more weeks til the big gender u/s!
of my older b/g twins my DD was definatly more active in the kicking department. I don't remember on teh u/s but even now she is more full of energy. I am interested to see what happen when I can start feeling them now.
Weird- my A was more active in utero, but since he got out, it's been all B! B is INSANELY active- I can't get a pic of him that doesn't look blurry anymore.
I do agree with people not thinking about what they were saying. My aunt asked me weather the girls were paternal or fraternal
Congrats on a great appointment! I had di/di twins as well and was told the same odds as you were told. I have identical girls.
Oh wow!!!! I am going to tell my DH that lol.....he thinks they're faternal and that there's a "fat chance" of identical. I told him that it IS still possible. (Note: we are not "hoping" for one over the other... healthy babies are well we need!)
I've got di/di identicals (DNA tested). I just had to know and in the grand scheme of things it doesn't cost that much.
congrats on your u/s! i also found out my twins are di/di last week...and my mom asked me if they were paternal or maternal...lol.
