I told the doc who did the scan that we didnt want to know the gender, he could go scan near the parts but just not to tell me or point out if he saw anything.

Dh swears he saw boy parts, Im not so sure and honestly Im glad its still a suprise though DH really tried to get me to let him watch the DVD they made again when we got home but I didnt :)

The doctor said I had very marginal placenta previa and that it would most likely move up as my uterus grew thereby enabling a vaginal delivery but then I of course came home and read the internet (very bad idea) :( . I havent spoke with my actual OB yet but Im terrified it wont move and I'll end up with a c-section. I had a vaginal delivery with 2 head down twins and I would hate to have a c-section with a singleton. Id be super dissapointed, not to mention longer recovery, more time in the hospital away from the twins etc etc.

He also mentioned Im borderline on having excess amniotic fluid....I cant wait to talk with my OB and see what she has to say.
Anyone have marginal placenta previa that moved?

How did I have such a perfet textbook twin pregnancy and now this??? Im frustrated!

i had it at my 20 week ultrasound with my singleton. I had another u/s at the 8 month mark to check for it and it was gone. It is very common and I believe most of them resolve over time as your uterus grows. GL!

I had it also at an early ultrasound and it moved by my next ultrasound,
my sister also had this with her current pregnancy and hers also moved.
    good luck.

I had partial previa with my oldest ds. I had heavy bleeding every couple weeks from 5 months on.I was put on bedrest for remainder of pregnancy. I delivered vaginally at 37 weeks. I don't know exactly when it resolved but thankfully it did.

Good Luck and take it easy....as much as you can ;)

    orignal poster here!
I talked with my OB this morning. She said its actually "low-lying" and not marginal. She will send me for another ultrasound at 28 weeks to check the position but shes pretty confident I should be able to attempt a vaginal delivery again.

She also said Im on the bring on being able to actually diagnose "excess amniotic fluid" and that its usually caused by 1. baby not swallowing fluid properly (though the babies stomach was seen yesterday and looked fantastic) or 2. Gestational diabetes. Im doing the glucose test at my next appt but I didn't have it with the twins either so we'll just have to wait and see!

    Thanks for all the replies!

I wouldn't worry about either issue. I've known many women with low lying placentas at 20 weeks where it moved within a month. And the fluid can really fluxuate from day to day... you might've had a lot more to drink in the 24 hours prior to the u/s who knows... But fluid levels can look high one day and low the next. I'm assuming they are scheduling you for a follow up u/s at some point, wait until then to start worrying. I bet the fluid will look just fine next time around.
