Well, Baby A is still head down, measuring 29w4d (I will be 29w tomorrow) and Baby B (who keeps moving!) is transverse and REALLY REALLY HIGH UP! She is at 30w2d. As my doc said, I tend to grow some big babies!

I told her about all the BH contractions I've been having and that my back was killing me last night. So she wante to check my cervix. It didn't hurt (at the time), but she said she can't feel baby a presenting, which is good - my cervix is still really tight and high up. So... (TMI) why am I wiping blood away? It isn't a lot of blood - but it's the first time I've seen it since becoming PG. It's just bothersome, I guess. Dark to brownish in color and really not liquidy... more like a thicker consistency. I just hate that! She said that it isn't uncommon to spot after having sex, but I never did before... but then again, I haven't done the deed in quite a while. Could it just be because she was so far in there and messing around with the cervix?

Doc also gave me some more tips for my gestational diabetes diet. I have to go up from 10 units a night to 20 because my morning readings are really quite a bit over target. She said to expect to keep adding more to my dosage because a lot of twin PG moms wil diabetes tend to gradually increase their dosing sometimes up to 100+ units at night. GEESH! I see the dietician sometime next week to go over what I am eating. LOTS OF PROTEIN and very little carbs.... but I am soooo tired and I think I am not getting enough carbs because I am so paranoid to eat them :(

Anyhoose, wish me luck this weekend. I have a wedding to go to tomorrow night and I am sure my wide but very flat butt will not be happy with the chair I have to sit in while the ceremony is going on. THEN add the fact that it is going to be OUTDOORS and the mosquitos are horrible right now. UGH! But we are also going to go to an arts festival Saturday if the rain hold out enough. I am going for the food and to see if one artist is selling this year. Yes, THE FOOD! I am going to find me some FRIED PICKLES and a foot-long corn dog! Hopefully my legs won't swell up too badly and the walking will help subside the extra carbs! Dang, I sure hope they have the fried pickles or I am going to be VERY unhappy!!!!!!

    Great weights on the babies!!

The blood is most likely due to the internal exam. Your cervix is very sensitive right now, so bleeding is not unusual after internals, sex, etc.

Have you had your iron levels checked recently? You mentioned being really tired lately. Depending on how strict you're being with the carbs, you could be lacking energy by not eating enough of those. However, at this stage in your pregnancy, it's VERY common for twin mamas to develop iron deficiencies too. Anemia can make you feel very short on energy...Just something else to look into!!

Hope the pickles are there this weekend!

All three of us have our fingers-crossed for you! We hope you find the pickles!!!

Could you take a pillow to sit on at the ceremony? You might get a few funny looks, but at least your bum will be happier ;)

I'm glad it went well. I agree the spotting is more than likely from the exam. My ob told me it is very common. Have fun this weekend and I really hope you find the fried pickles, eat a few for me they are one of my guilty pleasures :)

As for the Iron, I am on supplements. My last iron reading (last month) was really good. I think I am tired because of the lack of carbs --- my body needs that fuel and I don't think I am getting enough :( I am going to play with some carbs over the next few days to see if I can eat more but eat more protein, too. UGH!

As for the pillow - that might be a good idea! I've always had a problem with sitting on hard chairs because I have "noassatall" and never really have. in fact, my DH was pretty happy to see my butt poking a little from pregnancy! LOL

I agree with the blood being from the exam - that happens to me pretty much after each exam...
and I too hope you get those fried pickles! I've never even heard of those -- but they must be scrumptious - LOL
