Every night our house gets turned into a jungle gym!! My kids seem to have a serious addiction to jumping off things, climbing, rolling, you name it. It's hilarious to watch! So I was thinking about a gymnastics class, or some kind of tumbling thing. What age can you start?

We started the little girls at 2.5. My 10yo is a competitve gymnast who spends 20+ hrs a week at the gym, so the babies wanted to get to go, too. They go once a week for 45 minutes & they LOVE it! Everyday they ask if they get to go to "anastics" that night.

We have a mattress, mat, & balance beam in our den. It can get kind of crazy!

Not quite the same but my two are in a My Gym class right now. They love it. Our gymnastics club does have a parent and child class starting at 18 months.

I was a competitive gymnast for 10 years and boy did I release a lot of energy that way! I think our gym here let's kids start at 2 - of course, that's not full apparatus classes (like vault, beam, bars, etc.) but they typically do floor, foam mats, maybe let them swing on the bar or walk the low balance beam. I think they would have a great time!

I had mitch and McKenna in mommy &me class at 18mos old but found it was more of a workout for me than them. I took them out for a while. My 8yr old is also a competitive gymnast and lives at the gym so McKenna HAD to do what her big sister does. So I have her in a regular class there and she loves it. Mitchell isn't ready yet as I don't think he would stay with the class. Most places around here require parent stay in class with them until they are 3 when they can take the class on their own. They let McKenna try it out and she has been doing fine. It really is so great for them to release all that energy!

I just signed us up. K+R loved their first class. They have toddler and me classes ages 18-36 months. Ask at the gym to do a class to see if it works for you. You need to be able to help one twin, while the other one waits for his/her turn.
Do you have a Little Gym (Gymboree) close by? They are expensive but the kids can run and tumble more freely there.

18 months for Mommy and Me and we will be signing up. My older DD is still enrolled once a week and she loves it.
