    Hi,
I heard that Gymboree has a policy that you need one adult per child. Has anyone taken a class there. I was hoping to sign my girls up for a class in Sept (they will be 4 months), but there is only one of me.

    Thanks!

yep, that is true. at least here in NY it is. I am joining the Mommy & Me group instead. They will take one parent with twins. Too bad for Gymboree!!!

We started Gymboree at 15 months, took a break from the summer and will start back in the fall. They do require one adult per child, except for the Family class, it can be two children. I don't know if the family class is suitable for infants though, I've never taken it. I will say that for mobile babies, I don't know how I would do it by myself. My mother came with me and that worked well.

We started Gymboree at 14 months, in the pairs class, and kids do have to be mobile to do it. Personally, I would bank the money and save it for when they are mobile--they will get so much more out of it then.

Question? Do they charge you double for the twins? Is that a silly question? I suppose they do.

I took Gymboree with both of my older childeren. I would definitely save your money until they are mobile. My girls loved the play class the most.

I plan on bringing my mom with me when the twins are old enough. Unfortunately, I am sure you have to pay double. But you might want to ask for a discount for the second child.

They do give you a 10% discount for the second child. You pay for the child, so since 2 children take up 2 slots, you pay for both.

I signed mine up for a class starting September when they're 10 months old. I really like their classes from Level 3 up ... and the twins will be more mobile by then. They do allow twins in their classes here, but just make sure they only have 1 set per class, so that the teacher can help out with one child if necessary. They normally charge $199 for 12 classes (including free open play and I have 2 locations very closeby with open play each afternoon ... LOVE that) and for twins they charge $275 for a 12 week session, which I think is a really good deal.

My oldest did Gymboree from Level 3 all the way up to Level 6 and absolutely loved it!
