    Hi!

Has anyone tried any of the Gymboree Classes? I am interested in trying one out. If so:

    *Which class did you take?
*Did you find it fun? Helpful?
    *Anything you would recommend?
*Generally, how clean are these places? Are they pretty on it, as far as cleaning mats and things?

I am interested in a class just to see what it is like and just to try "something different"--change it up, you know?

    Thanks for sharing your experience!

How old are you twins? That would help us give you some ideas about what works and what doesnt.

    Thanks!!

    Sorry!

The twins are 8 months old. Not yet crawling yet, but rocking on all 4's.

I called Gymboree but was told that the parent to child ratio has to be 1:1 and I couldn't guarantee that my DH could make it to all of the classes b/c of his work schedule. I didn't want to pay that much for something we might not be able to attend so we wound up not going.

I was thinking about going to one of these classes. I think the only way to do it with twins is to go each time with a different twin. It gives you one on one time with each one which I'm sure your twin would appreciate too. But, someone would have to be watching the other twin. My DH works at home, so that idea would work out well, but I don't know how it is in your home or if you'd have another option to have someone watch the one you don't take with you.

My husband could definitely make it on Saturday--the class is at noon. However, my mom is going to come to the first one with me.

I'm actually going tomorrow! I decided just to go for it! I'll let you know how it goes! I'll post tomorrow (Saturday 2/14) night!

I took a few of these with my older daughter...

... They're okay, but I think older, mobile kids may get more out of them, when they can climb around on all their equipment.

I found them pricey for infants.

Especially after I discovered that my local library offers a VERY similar themed sing-a-long/story/puppet program for free every Friday.

Many library storytimes are similar to Gymboree for infants. So if price is an issue for you, look around. I was amazed at what our local community offers for free!

I looked into this but the only class for my boys' age group is Wednesdays. It wouldn't be possible for me to find someone to go with me and dh wouldn't be able to go - he's out of town so much these days and when he's in town it wouldn't be easy for him to do the classes with his work schedule.

We did Gymboree for almost 2 years. The boys were in a Pairs class, which allowed for one adult for 2 siblings. I personally would wait until they were walking, the kids have so much more fun once they can really participate.

I did classes through a parks 'n rec. It saved us a lot of money and they didn't have a ratio we had to meet. It was a great way to socialize our babies and to get out of the house. I would really recommend it for infants!

It was so much fun! Ok, if you can get past a little of the "nerdiness" of the teacher (but they have to be, working with little ones, you know?)
It was great! It was nice just being around other little ones and parents and trying new things.

We did the level 2 class and the focus was on "cause and effect." The twins loved all of the mats and ramps and stuff. Even if they couldn't
    actually crawl! ha ha

It's NOT cheap. They have memberships (just like a gym!). Or, a drop in fee. I would be open to do a once-a-month drop in class. I mean, I can
blow $16 at Target in a blink of an eye on stuff I don't need. I just really like stuff like this; getting the twins involved, taking them out and about, etc.
