I just signed my girls up for a Gymboree class...I was just curious what your experience has been with Children under 1 year old and their program. Is it worth my time and money? Will my girls get anything out of it?

We are in level 4 play and music i think and we love it! We are about a year old than your girls.

Do you have someone who can go with you? I think gymboree requires a 1 to 1 parent/child ratio.

What kind of class is it? We took the kids to a gymboree party...when they were 14 months, they didn't quite get it, but it was for 2 years.

They usually give a free sample class, did you do that?

My husband will be going with me, I am not anywhere near brave enough to tackle that alone! We signed up for the free class, Gymboree Play & Learn 2, which is for 6-10 month olds. I thought I would start with that one (my girls will be 10 months old this week), because they were 3 months premature so they are only 7 months adjusted.

I really liked the fact that they emphasize development and associate it with play time so its fun for them. Has anyone done Kindermusik and Gymboree and prefer one over the other?

My boys didn't go until they were 2, and that age seemed perfect. My exhusband went with them alone, and he was fine. They are free to run around and play.

Let me know how it goes! I wanted to do Gymboree but couldn't since I'd need another person to go with me! I think we are going to do Little Gym instead, but we are waiting til they're 10 months so we can do the older class, the youngest class only has 1 class per week. The older class has 5 a week.
