Hi... I am looking for a structured activity in which I can bring my 19 month old twinkies too seeing as we are having trouble getting out and about.

One program offered is Sibling Solutions Family Gymboree. This is where one adult can be with two children. Gymboree also has Level 4 but it's one adult one child ratio. We signed up for a free class on the 10th seeing if (a) we like it (B) if one adult can handle two children solo or if my husband and I should just sign up for a Level 4 on weekends.

Has anyone gone to Gymboree at these levels and used Sibling Solutions? What is your candid feedback? It's really expensive so any comments would be greatly appreciated. :)

Funny, I've just been looking for activities, too. I found a plethora through my city's parks and recreation department that I'm really excited about. And for a great price, too.

I wish my park districts had more to offer. They have so little for children under 2.5 and even the it's one adult:eek:ne child which doesn't help me out.

We just started going to My Gym. They have a twins discount of buy one get one half off, that really helps with the cost. And right now, classes are unlimited which is nice. We did Gymboree with my oldest DD and I like My Gym better. Good luck finding something. Our local parks and recreation has classes too.

We did My Gym when the girls were 18 months. I don't remember what the class was called specifically but it was by age group. We did it on a weekend and thinking back the ratio was at least 1parent:1 child. I don't think I could have done it alone, my husband and I would go or if he couldn't make it I'd drag one of my sisters with me. There was part of the class where it was just free play and at that age they needed assistance getting up the ladders, and other "gym" equipment they had. The girls loved it and it was nice to get them out of the house during the winter.

We are joining My Gym too. We tried a class for free and it was great. The Gymboree by us and the Little Gym didn't offer the twin discount, so it came out to more money. You can go to the websites of all three gyms and find one near you, try a class for free and then make your decision. Good luck! :)

I did Gymboree from the time the boys were 16 months until they turned 3--I figured they were starting school in the fall, and didn't need to go anymore. We did the siblings class--it was great for us! I found when I went to one of the regular classes, it was a different dynamic--there eveyone was focused on their own kid. In the Siblings class, we did more of a "zone" coverage--bascially we would spread out, and everyone would watch whatever kids were nearby. We are still friends with one of the families we met there, and the kids still play together almost 3 years later!

I did Gymboree, level 3 when I was still in the States. My sitter came with me, but I went to open play by myself (and including my oldest). They had a nice multiples discount in Chicago, 12 week for $199 (single child) and $275 for twins (for 12 weeks). And there is open play every afternoon of the week in one of the 2 locations that were close to me. My oldest did level 3 through 6. She also did Little Gym (which is nice when they get older). I liked Gymboree, the quality / price is good and with the open play ... can't beat that. I miss it!

We do "My Gym" and like the discount! They just signed up a few weeks ago. We're lucky to have 2 teacher to help me out if one climb on the slide and etc. I get support from other Moms watching mine and theirs too.

That is one of the reasons I waited a little longer to take mine to a class like that. So they were more independent because I knew I'd be going by myself. I dotake them by myself and they do great, but they are old enough now to do everything by themselves without any help from me. But that is why I waited until now, I would not have attempted it by myself at 18 months.

But like you said there are 2 teachers and they do help me out if needed.

i just joined gymboree...we did the trial class last week and joined. i got 12 weeks w/ 2 free classes (plus the trial, makes 3 really) for $390 - it was $195 for one, and then $50 off for the 2nd child...but then you have to pay a one time $50 family fee (you also get a box of stuff as a welcome gift). it also lets you use the gym for open gym times which is 3 times a week.

we are in the level 4 class and i go by myself w/ the kids. i've heard that some gymborees don't let you do that. weird how they are all different. i have also tried the little gym, but that was $568 for 20 weeks up front.

    good luck!

We joined Gymboree in November, taking the Family Class (same thing as you described, but I guess they call it something else here). It's fantastic and my kids love it! We go to the Play Gym (open play at scheduled times during the week) at least once a week.

Remember to Purell everyone's hands before you leave, though. Our ped calls it "Germboree" for a reason.

You might want to check out your local gymnastics program. My oldest dd belongs to a gymnastics team and they have free play every thurs from 10:30 to 11;30 and my girls just run around and have a blast. It's tiring for me though!
