Gun safe

I’m new here and new to target shooting , when it comes to gun safes will they look for the bs BS7558 cert ? The reason I ask is because that’s the type of thing I can make in work but obviously would not have a cert to say it meets the standards, but I could easily over spec it and make it above them standards.. would that be acceptable when the Garda come to check on it !!

I went with a 5-gun safe with a top lockbox and it's worked well so far. Just make sure to check the internal dimensions—some smaller units claim 5 guns but barely fit 3 if you have scopes. I found a decent option during a gun safes sale online and saved a bit. Also, bolt it to the floor if you can; makes a big difference for peace of mind.
