GULP - we made the switch

to toddler beds today! i wonder how tonite will go? They can get out of the cribs several times but cannot get back in. So I figured its time. I got some cute Thomas bedding for both beds too. I just need to remove ALL toys etc except the ones they play with in bed. Not sure how i will keep them in their room. But for the most part i hear them get up at night and they usually come into our room.

I'm going through it too. I tell them they have to stay in their room and in bed. I have "booby trapped" the door to make noise so that I can really hear it if they get up. Once they fall asleep, I take the trap down.

OMG I am almost afraid to type this but bedtime went WELL (knock on wood). We did our usual routine. Zach was so excited with his new choo choo bed. But Josh would not stay in bed So after putting him back several times, I finally held the doorknob. It only took about 10 minutes and he stopped crying. I heard a big SIGH and nothing since. This was 7pm or so :banana: I dont know if he is sleeping in his bed or on the floor but he is SLEEPING. We will see how the rest of the night goes. They sleep well once asleep but they have horrid colds with coughs right now, too. Poor babies. Umm big boys now huh?
