Guilt ?

My girls will be 6 month next week and I constantly feel guilt that I never held them enough when they were newborns.
I just feel so bad that I didnt hold them enough compared to my older child, who I sat around holding all day. I just wished I had of said to hell with the housework as that time has gone now. I really dont know where the last 6 months have gone, it feels like a blur.
Does anyone else feel this way ?

 

I think motherhood comes with constant guilt. My twins are 16 months old and I constantly feel guilty that I spent more individual time with their sister than them. I would just love them and know you are doing your best.

 

Totally normal :hug: I look at pictures and think--wow I totally don't remember that! I thought some of it was just mommy brain but some of it was just because of the lack of sleep.
Thankfully it does pass and you move on to thinking... why in the world was I pushing for them to eat solids? They just throw them, or spit them all over, or just not eat them at all :headbang: :laughing:

 

I feel the same way. I have one twin who loves to snuggle so I feel ok with him, but my other twin doesn't dare snuggle with me unless she has fallen or if her older brother has bothered her....makes me think that if I had held her more than I did, would things be different?! They love us no matter what though.

 

Mine are nearing six months and I feel the same way. I've just expressed feelings of regret to my husband and a few friends, but I think we were doing the best we could at the time. I do take more opportunities to snuggle and play with them now.
